Questions & Answers

My shower door is from Splendor. The acrylic finger pulls are about the same size, so do you think they're universal?

These finger pulls are intended to be used as a replacement part. They are not for a specific brand of tub/shower door; however, if the dimensions are the same, they may fit your needs.

Where were the screws supposed to go?

Mine were missing screws, and the ones I had were larger than the holes in the new pulls.

Do you have any pictures of these in place? I'm trying to visualize if it's exactly what I'm looking for. ?

We don't have any photos of the Sliding Shower Door Finger Pull in use. It's usually mounted opposite the towel bar on the inside of bypass shower doors. This information is provided in the hopes that it will be useful. All shower doors should come with these
5/5

I'm not sure why manufacturers don't include something similar to these finger pulls with their sliding shower doors. Or, at the very least, many do not, based on the reviews and comments here. That was not the case with my Dreamline Essence shower door. Anyway, I was a little skeptical that this product would be useful because it appears to be quite small, but after installing it, I am completely satisfied. You'll need to reuse the towel bar's screws/bolts, and you might need to drill out these finger pulls if you're like me and need a larger hole. One on the inside of one door and one on the outside of the others were installed. They get the job done. br>br>I've also included some before and after photos, as I wish someone had posted them before I bought this set.

Replaces the original pull in a very nice manner
5/5

The overall size was ideal for the shower door. The screw hole was slightly too small for the door's original screws, but it was simple to drill out. Inspector wife was pleased with the final result, but it would be nice if the manufacturer countersunk the hole so that the screw head was slightly below the surface and included a decorative screw cover. Despite the minor flaws, I intend to purchase a second set for our other shower.

I was able to get it to work with a few minor changes
4/5

I have Alumax shower doors that have been framed in the past. These worked, but there were a few flaws: first, the screw holes are too small to accommodate the 10-inch screws; second, the screw holes are too small to accommodate the 10-inch screws. The door's rods require 24 machine screws on the opposite side. The insides of the holes had to be drilled out. I couldn't use the drill on the plastic because I didn't have a clamp to hold it in place. As a result, I used a smaller drill bit that fit inside the hole and repeatedly rubbed it against the inside of the hole. It took about 20 to 30 minutes, but the hole eventually grew large enough to accept a size 10 screw. The fact that the plastic did not crack as a result of this astounded me. Second, because these do not have the recessed area that the original Alumax shower doors do, you will most likely need to purchase a non-recessed screw. Screws are not included with these. Finally, because recessed screws cannot be used, Alumax stickers that cover the screw area will not function. As a result, if you buy this, the screw will be visible. This made no difference to me because I no longer had the original Alumax stickers. It wasn't a perfect substitute, but it got the job done, and I'm satisfied.

Unfortunately, you must have them; however, they are expensive for what and how many you get
3/5

This is not Amazon's fault; unfortunately, you must have them; however, they are expensive for what and how many you get. br>The screws on the door are tiny, and the holes in the pieces are too small to accommodate even the tiniest screws. I had to enlarge the holes I drilled. br>Somehow, they wear out quickly while installed, break, and need to be replaced again.

Shower pull made of acrylic
4/5

My husband had to drill it a little bigger to fit the existing shower screw because it was drilled too small. Please forgive me if I'm misphrasing this. But it's now in place and looks almost identical to the original, save for the fact that the original had a small sticker to cover the screw to make it look more finished.

Shower door pulls that are a good replacement
5/5

Original pulls were broken, so these were purchased to replace them. These were quite costly for two small acrylic pieces. Stick ons to cover screw heads should be included at the very least. They were, however, the only ones I could come across. It was an ideal match.

I would not recommend this product
3/5

For a beveled screw head, the screw hole is not beveled. Should have come with a metallic or plastic stick-on covering to cover the screw head area after installation to prevent water from getting into the screw head area.

Pre- Splendor has a smaller drilled hole than Splendor
3/5

These were purchased in the hopes of being a direct replacement part for the Splendor brand sliding shower door system; however, they were not. However, the pre-existing pre-existing pre-existing condition was discovered. Due to the screw diameter, the drilled hole was too small. I'll try to enlarge the hole with a drill. br>UPDATE: Using a "standard" drill bit, I was able to bore out the hole successfully.
