Our entire shower is in desperate need of replacement, but it's about fifth on our to-do list. When the shower doors stopped sliding, I assumed I'd have to splurge on a cheap replacement set to get us by. However, these were extremely successful. It's almost too much. We all slammed the doors open a few times because we were so used to having to push the old ones open. I'm very pleased with how well these turned out. We now have a usable shower until we can afford to replace it for a very low cost.
Because the screw length was not specified in the specifications, I had to rely on the size and shape of the rollers. I shortened the screws because adding washers would cause interference between the doors.
The door to the shower was stuck. The track was thoroughly cleaned. It is still not working properly. Close inspection revealed that one of the rollers was not rotating. The tiny bearings fell out when I took it apart. These have been placed on order. They were simple to install, taking less than 5 minutes, and the shower door now glides smoothly and quietly. My purchase was a great success.
with excellent outcomes My wife and I have been pushing and dragging the shower doors open and closed for the past few years because they are around 20 years old. Enough is enough! With one adjustment, I was able to install these replacements in about 15 minutes. We have to be cautious about how much force we use now that they glide so easily. Quiet and smooth. It's something I wish I'd done earlier. If anything changes, I'll let you know.
I ordered these as a replacement after one of my shower door rollers broke after falling off the track. They were extremely well-fitting and slightly greasy, but I suppose that's what makes them so effective. Even though one of the rollers was broken, they were all falling apart once removed from the track.
Because the included screws are too long, they protrude from the far side of the roller and scrape the track when fully tightened. Instead of the brass shown in the photos, the shank is made of steel (I believe it's silver).
They were close, but the screws were too short, and rolling them was difficult. They don't roll as smoothly as the originals do. The only reason I'm not returning them is that they'll suffice until I find something better.
By any stretch of the imagination, I'm not a handyman. However, with the aid of a YouTube channel, I could accomplish this. It was simple to swap them out and figure out how to work with them. The shower door is now as smooth as butter!.
