Yes, this glide is designed to fit on the bottoms of the doors. Starting by removing the doors is your best bet BEFORE ordering any replacements. Ideally, you should have TWO people with you. As you lift the doors out of the tracks, one will be inside the shower/tub and the other will be outside. On the bottom of the doors, you should be able to see the remains of the old glides. You'll be able to tell if this is the right type for the bottoms of the doors after that. This is something I recommend you do before ordering any replacement parts. Clean the doors, as well as the tracks at the bottom and top. The door bottom fits into the slot in the glide; align the hole in the door with the hole in the glide, and then push the pin of the small piece into the hole to keep the glide in place and from moving away from the correct positions. With two people, reinstall the doors and carefully place the glides in the bottom track. If the glides aren't all broken, you don't have to replace them all at once. It's not difficult; it's just something you don't do on a regular basis. Best wishes to you.
Two. To keep it in place, one piece clips into the other.

It's simple to put together and secures the forearm to the rail as it should.
I'm so happy I came across these. They were not available at Home Depot or Lowes, and I needed them to reinstall my shower doors after I removed them to have the tub resurfaced. After 30 years of service, it was obvious that the old plastic ones needed to be replaced; hopefully these will last just as long.
When I ordered two to fix one side of my shower and two more as backups, I ended up ordering eight. I got a total of eight.
This aftermarket part isn't quite right. My shower door won't open or close anymore. It drags on the track, making opening and closing the door more difficult. Furthermore, the locking pin does not fully engage in its hole. In a pinch, this will suffice, but it is not a well-made item.
Menards, Home Depot, and other stores were unable to provide a replacement. Due to the age of the product, I was told that I would have to get one fabricated out of aluminum or replace my door. Take that, Home Depot guy! This is an excellent substitute.
I went to the big box stores and was told they didn't have any because our shower door was so old. I was fortunate in that I was able to locate them, and our door is still in working order.
I was thrilled to discover this part for a specific sliding shower door. The shower door isn't catching any longer.
These supports are fantastic, and they helped to keep my shower door in place. That door was wobbly and on the verge of falling off the track before this product was installed.
