Although you can install your handle on the tub, keep in mind that it will not be proportioned for a tub door. There is no way to change the handle's position. Thank you for taking the time to find out more about DreamLine.
I will say that finding someone to install this door was extremely difficult. It took weeks and a lot of phone calls for me to figure out what I needed to do. The Dreamline website lists a list of their "certified installers" by region, but every one of them I called didn't have a clue what I was talking about, and the majority didn't sell or install any kind of bathroom fixtures. I contacted several handymen and contractors, but no one was interested in working on it. My family friend is a contractor, and he said he wouldn't touch it. After a haphazard search on the internet and phone calls, I finally found someone. He did an excellent job for about $550. We had the doors for more than a month before we were able to install them. It was a major pain and a source of stress. Now that it's all said and done, we absolutely adore them; they're of exceptional quality and look stunning.
Yes, it is possible. Ours has a handle on the right side and a stationary glass panel on the left.

So far, the shower system has proven to be very effective. There are no issues. It looks fantastic and performs admirably. It would be simple if I had installed one before, but this was my first (I also installed their unidoor system in another shower after this one), and it was tempting to throw the instructions in a can and burn them, relishing in the fact that I had done so. I've written instructions before and worked with equipment that had well-documented instructions- They need to put in a lot of effort into this. I'll do it for you if you hire me- It would answer a lot of the questions I was trying to figure out. Should've gone with two. It took me 3 hours to install if I took my time, and it took me closer to 5 hours because of poor documentation. 6 hours. br>br>So, aside from the instructions being a waste of time, the actual door system is the polar opposite-- It's fantastic; the door glides smoothly, there's the ability to level for minor misalignment, and everything worked out exactly as we expected. The only issue I'm having right now is that I need to add a little more silicone around the bottom alignment block because water is leaking out and sitting on the threshold's edge. Aside from that, because our opening results in a 4" overlap when the door is closed, we chose not to use the plastic strips that fit on the trailing edge of the moving panel and the leading edge of the stationary panel because it looks cleaner. More importantly, measure, measure, measure, scratch your head, and measure some more. and make sure you have the studding behind you to work with, as well as the correct height of the bar (I had to raise the bar about 1/8" based on the instructions because the sliding panel was a tad too low and would drag no matter how I adjusted it). Was it my fault or were the instructions to blame? I still believe that if they were clearer and simply better, there would have been no problem. The other issue is that they appear to completely disregard the fact that you will most likely be installing it in tile, so drill sizes, etc. are incorrect. br>br>As someone who has been using chrome hardware for a long time- It was both a surprise and a delight to choose oil rubbed bronze. Between one manufacturer's shower hardware, another's door knobs, and yet another's sink faucets- This fit right in, and the whole thing looks fantastic.
I would recommend that this door be installed by a professional contractor such as myself, but the price is very competitive with a local glass company. br>Highly recommended.
This was a pricey door, but it was well worth the money. It has a beautiful appearance and opens with ease. This isn't your grandmother's shower door that slides open! These sliders have come a long way since they first appeared.
This is a lovely shower door. We had it professionally installed, and they assured us that it was a simple process. It's incredibly heavy, and the glass is crystal clear. The door's quality has exceeded our expectations. It's nice and heavy, and it glides effortlessly back and forth. For the price, you can't beat it.
Without a doubt, it was well worth the money.
This is a fantastic door. After 2 hours of installation, I'm in love with it. There are too many parts, and each one requires a specific size wrench (which is included). You'll need someone who knows how to put this door together.
This is a fantastic entrance. Quite hefty. It's a natural at sliding. Due to its weight, it can be difficult to install. Don't try this at home if you're a beginner. selfer. Take your time reading through all of the instructions. It appears to be lovely.
The installation was a little difficult until we figured out the fine adjustment details.
