I decided to purchase this shower door for my small master bathroom remodel after conducting extensive research. I have a small alcove shower with a narrow opening that would make any other shower door impossible to use. When my house was first built, the contractors messed up the walls and made the shower an inch narrower than it should have been, making most standard 36-inch showers impossible to use. Shower doors that are less than an inch thick will not fit. Pay close attention to the product instructions and Q&A for minimum width requirements. This will not fit through a narrow opening. My opening was almost exactly 34" wide, finished tile to finished tile, and I ended up with about 1/4" clear between the edge of the glass and the tile after installation, which makes me nervous because if the door came off the wall at all, it could shatter the tile. Water leakage. br>br>After 6 months, there have been no issues. br>br> There aren't many. This was a source of concern for me; you'd think there'd be plenty, but there isn't. A few drips do fall to the floor now and then, but they are easily dried with a floor mat or towel. br>br>I wish the door had a water-resistant coating on it. After 6 months of use, I installed another Dreamline door in another bathroom, which looks much cleaner than this one. Having said that, I don't have any issues. br>br>The price was right, the installation was simple, and to be honest, it was the only door that fit my bathroom!.
Shower door that folds! The overall dimensions of this door are correct (29 1/2" x 72"), but my finished opening size was 31", leaving a 1 1/2" gap. I installed the door so that it opened from left to right, with the shower head on the left side, and almost no water escapes. It has a nice, clean look to it, and it is well-made! I took a look at a lot of Bi- The majority of folding shower doors were clumsy, with a lot of metal trim and top headers that ran from wall to wall. All of them were fetching more than twice the price of this Dreamline bi-fold. shower that folds! This shower door is not going to let you down!.
It says professional installation only, but if you're handy and have a helper, you'll probably be better off than a professional working alone. Stainless steel is used for all of the fasteners. This is a nice addition. It's a versatile design because the doors can be installed in either left or right hand. Reversible door hinges add even more versatility. When you're working alone, the 68-pound unit can be difficult to move around and keep in place. Drilling holes into porcelain tile at slow speed with a quality diamond 3/16" drill bit and a variable speed drill is the most difficult part, aside from holding it in place while installing. Installation is simple if everything is plumb and level; if it isn't, you have 3/8 inch to play with. All necessary parts (except tools) were included, as well as some spares in case they were required. This is a nice addition. Overall, dealing with such a well-thought-out product is a pleasure!.
I'm surprised I haven't come across anyone else who has the same issue - Because the door swings 'both ways,' it can be easily hyper-locked when closed. reaches all the way to the middle of the door - fold-out - is open and extends beyond the bathroom's floor. There is a lot of leakage. If everyone takes precautions to ensure that the door does not hyper-close, We don't have a problem if it extends and is perfectly straight. But what a thorn in my side. br>I'm having a lot of issues with it being extremely loud. The hinge really squeaks, and it's quite loud! I contacted the business and received a prompt response. I'll keep you updated on their progress.
This bi-annual publication was purchased by us. We chose a fold shower door because we thought it would be more modern and practical in our newly renovated bathroom, which is quite small. A 60" walk-in closet is available for your use. I'm in the shower, and it appears that half shower doors have been popular for a few years, so I like it. Rather than using a curtain, we wanted the large porcelain "Carrara" shower tiles to be visible. I like how the door folds in half and out of the way to make cleaning the shower floor and tiles easier. Hopefully, the exposed other side of the shower will not be a source of water. The installation went off without a hitch. We needed a special bit to make large 1/2 inch holes so we could use toggle bolts because of the thick porcelain tiles. We didn't have studs in the area where the screws were going to go, so I wanted a very secure installation for the heavy doors. So I asked my husband to use the toggle; it might be excessive, but I'm confident they won't fall out. Everything went smoothly, and the rest was a breeze. Doors that are stunning.
This is a fantastic piece of writing. made bi- Shower door that folds The glass, fixtures, and installation hardware are all of the highest quality, and the door exudes strength, quality, and elegance. For the most part, the instructions are clear and concise, allowing for a quick installation. I didn't require them, but the extra parts are a nice touch and much appreciated. It's a pity this door isn't available in brushed stainless steel. That's why I gave it four stars because it has a nickel or satin finish. If you like shiny chrome, I don't think you'll be disappointed with this door.
5 was the perfect size for my 33. 75 - Shower with a 34-inch diameter I was terrified that a 33-year-old woman would win. My small shower space, which ranged in size from 33 to 35 square feet, could not accommodate a 5 door. 75- 34 inches in length My contractor attached the fixed side to the side away from the shower head, ensuring that no water would spill onto the floor, and the 1/2-inch-thickness of the 1/2-inch-thickness of the 1/2-inch-thickness of the 1/2-inch-thickness of the 1/2-inch-thickness The shower head was surrounded by 1/4" of open space, making it essentially a fully enclosed shower. The bottom seal prevents any water from leaking onto the floor. It's lovely, and it's exactly what I needed in my cramped downstairs bathroom. The only issue I've noticed is a "groaning" and stiffness in the folding mechanism, which I'm hoping will eventually go away. I spoke with the manufacturer about this issue to ensure that it was installed correctly.
