There is mildew in your shower, but you do not need to clean it with bleach and expose yourself to the poison it contains. You are able to avoid this issue simply by wiping down all surfaces of the shower after you take a shower, then making sure that there is air flow in the bathroom to allow the shower to completely dry. A hand towel that has served its purpose for years to me is kept near the shower for just this purpose.

It's hard to imagine how people get more than a few months out of these filters, I have to change them every 6 weeks for one person and every three months for three people. The average tap chlorine level is 0 parts per million. By the end of the 2 month period, I begin to see chlorine readings.

I have been using it for a few Before changing the filter, I had been using it for close to a year. That was when it stopped working. Chlorine does not appear to be filtered by the new filter. Often, they flush chlorine through the public water system where I live in South Florida. As of right now, the water smells like a pool when it is running. It does not seem to be any different in the shower. It's impossible to wash my hands without smelling chlorine and continuing to do so for hours after I shower. I'll try another filter out of the package this weekend to see if it works any better, but at this point, I'm not convinced they work as purification.
Lowe's provided me with a replacement cartridge for a shower filter I bought there. There are no longer any Lowe's stores carrying It was easy to install and the fit was good. It did not leak. The shower head was soaked in a white vinegar solution, and any deposits were removed with the brass brush as part of the cleaning Compared to before, the filter works fine with skin and hair, and there is a noticeable difference.
I used to always have incredibly dry skin after a shower, before I started using a filter. I would go crazy because it would itch like crazy on my back. It always cost me a lot of money to get my wife to apply lotion. Since the chlorine level in my drinking water has decreased, I no longer have dry skin. If I take a shower, neither my eyes nor my lips burn.
I look forward to getting back to the chlorine-free shower at home, where my hair (and skin) are begging to be. A replacement cartridge is automatically inserted into my computer - This keeps me reminded to replace the shipment regularly and take care of my skin and hair.
Since we have well water and have used these filters in our shower for over 3 years, we've been quite satisfied. Almost all of the odors are eliminated, and the water is softened to make soap/shampoo lather more easily. Since there are only two of us in our household, we typically need to replace the filter every five or six.
I give it a 5 star rating. In a nutshell, I think it's a must have that better water will improve your life and your skin.
If you live in a townhouse and do not have the space to install a water softener, such as I do, this is a great solution. There is a tremendous difference between the showerhead and the filtering system. The item is great, and the price is even better!.
