I'd suspect the valve if it kept dripping. It's possible that you'll need to replace the cartridge. Most plumbing fixtures' seals and o rings will be shortened by hard water or water with a high salt content.
The diverter on the tub spout is used in the same way as it is in other shower/tub combos.
You won't need a cartridge, but you will need the rough-and-tumble method. Delta R10000- valve model Delta Faucet R10000-UNBXHF Multichoice Universal Shower Only Valve Body or UNBXHF Multichoice Universal Shower Only Valve Body Whether you're installing in a shower or a tub/shower combo, the UNBX MultiChoice Universal Tub and Shower Valve Body is the right choice.

This item was exactly what I needed, but Delta's presentation of it was not to my liking. It's labeled as "Trim Only" by the manufacturer, but that's not the case. It also includes the valve cartridge, which is untrimmed in my opinion. When I think of trim, I think of things like escutcheons, handles, and other decorative elements that have finishes that can be seen after they've been installed. The cartridge is located inside the machine. As a result, I ordered a separate cartridge, only to discover that I didn't require it. Now I'm going to have to waste time returning it.

This irritates me greatly! This irritates me greatly. I specifically requested a handle that allows me to adjust both pressure and temperature in order to avoid wasting hot water. I prefer hot water with low pressure, which is impossible to achieve with single-handed controls, such as this one. br>I removed the limiter, and now there is only hot water when the faucet is completely turned on, rendering this purchase a complete waste of time and money. br>When the pressure is low, the water freezes, but when the pressure is high, the water is warm. br>If you want low pressure and a comfortable shower, this is a complete waste of money, and I'd like to return it, but it's already installed. This purchase has made me extremely angry. br>br>.

If you have the ability and patience to install and sweat the Delta universal valve, this is an excellent upgrade. It didn't come with the fixture for me. Installing the valve to make this fixture work takes time and precision, but installing this fixture on the valve body is a piece of cake while waiting for the valve to be installed. The temperature valve rides on top of the pressure valve, which means you can preset or keep your previous temperature mix setup, which is a minor advantage over my old fixture. In other words, you won't have to fiddle with the temperature blend valve if you turn off the water. Running the dishwasher or flushing the toilet has no effect on the water temperature.

The two handles are fantastic! I can control the temperature without having to think about it. Being able to turn off the water while soaping and scrubbing and then turn it back on to the exact temperature you set it at is great for conserving water. For the same reason, it's also fantastic for washing your dog. br>br>Installation was straightforward, though the instructions were unclear on how to set the maximum water temperature. With a little trial and error, I was able to figure it out.

It is made of plastic and has a temperature control handle. The plumber may have installed the shower head incorrectly, but the trim handle must be at least 3/4 turned open to start the flow of water. For over 20 years, I've used MOEN valves and trims and have never had a problem with them. This trim, as well as the valve, do not meet my expectations. DELTA is coming to my house for the first and last time.

This has terrible spotting on it. It's a lot worse than the chrome delta showerhead I have. Check out the images. br>Aside from that, I like being able to adjust the temperature independently. That's a fantastic idea. The temperature-adjustment handle, on the other hand, is extremely difficult to turn and requires two hands. To turn off the water volume, you must keep the other handle steady and not move it. I find it to be a useful enough feature to put up with the dexterity required to operate it, but I hope it improves over time. br>Installing it was not difficult, but it was not simple, either; you must pay close attention to the alignment. When I realized I had only used a small amount of hot water, I had to redo it. However, this isn't a major issue. Water spots, on the other hand, are a pain.

EXCEPT FOR: EXCEPT FOR: EXCEPT FOR: EXCEPT FOR: EXCEPT FOR: EXCEPT FOR: EXCEPT FOR: EX Neither side of the cartridge in which I received it was marked for H or C. You must place the cartridge's hot side against the incoming water's hot side. Unfortunately, as stated in the installation instructions, neither side had a H or C marking. br> END RESULT: You are in possession of a 50-percent chance of winning. The water pipes have a 50 percent chance of being installed on the H side on the H side. Of course, with a 50-percent chance of winning, it's a no-brainer I lost a 50/50 chance and had to disassemble the device and replace the cartridge.

For the kids and cats, flow control was required on the builder setup. For a low-cost upgrade that didn't require any plumbing work, there was a significant improvement in appearance and performance. Don't let the description fool you- THE CARTRIDGE IS INCLUDED IN THIS PRICE! br>The only thing you need to make sure of is that you have a rough-in partner. behind the faucet you're using now (Recent Delta models have a "universal" rough in that ensures compatibility. ) That may not be the case if your house is more than a few years old. Look for the words "multi choice" engraved on your current trim plate. br>Be aware, however, that the current cartridge may be stuck. I got mine out by heating up the water, inserting flathead screwdrivers at 3 and 9 o'clock, and then twisting the drivers together to Wet carefully pry evenly (despite the instructions not to pry). Give it a minute before popping - The rest is done in a matter of seconds.
