Grab bars must be made by two brands to work with the RESGBW35. Grab bars available at Home Depot include the WingIts grab bars and the Glacier Bay grab bars.
Their compatibility with both Moen and Glacier grab bars has been confirmed by me. To me, the Wing-Ding is the better option This fastener is to be used for the Moen faucet, as the Moen one is more expensive, and requires a larger hole in the In two occasions, the Moen retaining bar detached itself from the flimsy bracket insertion, resulting in it falling to the floor behind the wall. I have been a member of - With two smaller holes, it was easier to use and there was less chance of losing the screws. Supporting the grab bar was very sturdy on both sides.
used to provide a secure connection to the grab bars, and are a part of the fastening system. I just wanted to let you know that this is Grab bars by WingIts and Bobrick will only fit wall fasteners from these brands. A 300-pound load can be carried on them. It is highly recommended that you use the respective drill bit when you start drilling holes in your I wish you the best of
There was an exact distance between the screws that I do not remember. When a handicap grab bar is installed, the screws are fully concealed by the mounting flange

Make sure your stud finder is working fine. I replaced the battery after it was acting weird and it's working fine now. As a result of a false reading, I had to change Take measurements from center to center of whatever you are installing, and mark and drill for that measurement, rather than the width indicated on the wingit set-up. Pilot hole Drill a dead center hole. We noticed that the Apache 3/4" bit tended to drift a little bit. In order to avoid this, the pilot hole can be used. Verify that they have sent you the 3/4" Apache bit and not the 1-inch Apache bit As they sent me, I got a 1/2" bit. Overall though, this is a great product, although it can be a bit nerve-racking getting it all organized. The last thing you need to do is cover your shower drain. Small parts may be present in whatever you are installing, but none are necessary. Thanks for reading!.
When installed properly, the software works very well. The installation of these is not as easy as installing on wood you have to get your measurements right and it's a lot harder on tile. I recommend you follow instructions carefully and if you're not comfortable with your abilities hire a handyman to do the job for you. As much as possible, use wall studs, size your bars and place them so they hit as many studs as possible, and only use anchors in emergency situations.
With the help of a stick-on template, it's easy to lay out, but drilling 3/4" exactly through ceramic wall tiles is not for the novice. Fortunately, I have a shed full of tools and years of experience to help me out. Also, the anchors need to be able to expand behind the wall so the mounting area must be free of studs. Using a standard stud sensor to locate studs behind ceramic tile or hardee panel is not possible. Despite its 3/4 bit operating system, WingIts's won't really deliver what it promises. You will need a high quality carbide tip tile bit. It's not the strongest anchor system, but if you have the right tools and know how, it's still quite effective.
Following the destruction of one Wingit, I was able to install successfully. It is necessary to fully extend the Wingit shaft and then manually compress and push its wings through the hole to install it. Hammering it through the hole (like I did) only makes it harder to drive it through. Compressing it and jamming it into the hole will result in an uneven surface. Also, I used the Wingit grab bar and it was perfectly aligned Installers had problems with previous versions of the installers because they were using a non-compliant With or without Wingit grab bars. It's still about the same price as the others but Wingit grab bars are exactly as good as the others. I am extremely pleased with how solid this bar is after it is installed.
My goal was to install a grab bar in my tiled shower/tub. I bought both this and Wingits' 3/4 inch drill bit to facilitate the installation. A previous installation of mine proved difficult when I used a tile-capable bit I bought from my hardware store After every two holes, it had to be replaced as the bit wandered while drilling. There was a gem in the Wingits bit There was no wandering and, as other commentators have noted, it cut through the tile with ease. Although I watched two video instructions on how to install the Wingits screws, they themselves proved to be difficult to install. A number of challenges were encountered when pushing the Wingits through the hole, including pushing them toward the axis and pushing them through the whole hole. The work may be done by hand, with a mallet, or with a Ultimately, I took out each Wingit (using the same drill bit), installed toggle bolts, and then welded the grab bar in place. There were many reasons to be disappointed.
This would be true for wallboard, or even cement board, since their spread provides a very strong It's so convenient and easy to use for hanging handicapped grab bars that I prefer them to the Moen or Kohler supports for the bar. The fasteners for grab bars will require a large hole in the wall, as with all fasteners in general.
Installing this device is difficult. Check out the picture and notice how the screw heads lack a sense of center. When you mark the center of the bar, and set the base against the wall, the holes in the bar will not match the need to find a way to fill the holes that appear behind the beauty rings. I do not have a lot of experience in construction, but the instructions were somewhat I would trust the bars not to come loose and I have no reservations about the stability of the bars.
