A flat surface with a diameter of 7 1/2 inches makes up the base. I have a bathtub to my right of my toilet, as you can see from the picture on the left. The pole is therefore positioned between the toilet paper holder and the right side of the toilet. Despite the base's position, it is not blocking In addition to blocking access to the toilet tissue, the pole is also blocking access to the toilet. I did not give my mom (who weighs about 100 pounds. Depends on the pole to maintain In our house, we have quite a few. It's wonderful to see them!
There were no approvals that I checked for, so I'm not aware of them. At my Mom's assisted living, I had one of these poles installed and another one done. I know my mother is very happy with the three poles in her apartment, and I know it works very very well for her. Unfortunately I am unable to offer any assistance
My father uses this pole to help him climb up and transfer to a wheelchair from his laying position. Once he is seated, we installed a portable walker next to the bed. As an elderly man in chronic back pain, 220 pounds and pretty much dead weight when he uses the pole to pull himself to standing position, he utilizes the pole to assist him in pulling himself up. As tight as it could be, we have it from the floor to the ceiling, and it supports him with no problem. It's not loose or unsteady, and it doesn't feel as if it'll fall at any moment. As a buyer, I was skeptical of it because I had no idea if it would support him well or if he'd be comfortable placing his weight on it, but it has proven to be very sturdy and reliable. The guy has reportedly been using it for almost a year daily and probably hourly! If I were you, I would recommend buying the strongest pole you can afford don't settle for anything cheaper or lighter. That's the one we bought (in black).
I do not know how it works. If you do want the pole without the curved bar, I know that you can obtain it.

It is not recommended that this item be purchased if the user is under 5 feet I'm not sure if I should replace the plastic slip sleeve over the tension adjustment section, because it moves and is not stable during use. It appears to have been designed for shipping, rather than for use by disabled individuals, though I may be mistaken. The goods are not returnable, which is an insult. The following information is also included My money was refunded to me by Amazon after I contacted customer service. A senior center will receive the pole as a donation from me. I think it will be the right size for someone of my size. Although I am disappointed with the item, I am not disappointed.
Without it, I am unsure of how I would cope. Recently I broke both ankles at the same time, one requiring surgery, and was not even able to transfer from wheelchair to bed until I could get this bar. If you are not using screws and have smooth ceilings with a carpeted floor, you may want to tighten the tension every dozen times or so you use it (you can use the wrench provided with the kit) to be extra sure, if you are not using screws. In fact, I may even purchase another of these and definitely plan on using this one again when I am well enough to do so for my 91-year-old mother. As I got into the wheelchair and getting out of it, I leaned almost all my weight on it. I also pulled sideways as I got into the wheelchair, and even more when I was When I am done, who knows, maybe I will keep it in my bedroom for future use as a "stripper pole". Although it would be fun to do, it would be a great exercise as well!.
It's installed and working properly, but be careful! About six inches of space must be left between the ceiling height and the top of the lamp. As a result, we are in a void. In our call with the company, we heard I have no problem with that. A free part will be sent to you with the fixer We will send it to you within two Great customer service, except for the fact that the part that arrived is identical to the one that needed replacing. In my case, the new part was reengineered so that the pole works, but I would not recommend the pole unless you have a well-equipped shop, and unless you know someone who is capable of doing the reengineering. In addition, I am paying my handyman for the pole, so the price is quite high.
It was easy to install for me alone and is a reliable support for my 275 pound husband because of his limited mobility. In order to control his pace up and down the stepped stairs, I needed the pole to help prevent him from falling. Included in the package was a wrench for adjusting and securing the device. The solution we chose to install on a long-term basis is an excellent one that won't damage the floors or ceilings. moved it once and that was also an easy process.
Worked just as well as the intended tool! After four years, here is the update 89, mom mom is still in a very happy state of mind. had a number of returns from hospitals, and this pole has been very helpful to us. This is a gift I bought for my 80+ year old mom when she came home from Not knowing exactly where to put it, I didn't know what to do.
We had another incident, and she decided she didn't need it anymore. She sat it in the back of the room for a while. In the bathroom, I installed it. While she has bars there, it's hard for her to push herself off the surface when she moves from the toilet to the sink since the room is set up a bit weirdly. If needed, a walker may still be able to enter the tiny bathroom since almost no floor space is taken up. When she initially rejected it, she was scared that she was making a costly Even though we didn't know what to do with it, having it in the house came in handy and proved to be a wonderful asset. Our testing of the product in several areas of the house showed that we didn't need to anchor it to the ceiling at all. Although the bar is in a prominent place in the bathroom, it does not obstruct the direction of the shower. In order to live independently at home, it is crucial to provide support from sitting to standing as well as create a situation in which seniors can go to the bathroom at any time and be safe. It turned out to be the perfect pole for the job.
In the summer of last year, my shoulder was broken, so I needed something to help me into and out of the I was recommended to get a vertical pole by a physical therapist in my home. This is the one I found when I searched Amazon. a Stander Security Pole within a couple of days, and it came within the week. Although I had a sore shoulder, it was still easy to install. While I use the pole in order to keep myself stable, I still keep it in place since it has helped with my shoulder's healing. I find it to be a very nice device, except that it is quite expensive.
The pole is now in the shower room just outside the door (as seen in the photo) and she no longer falls like she was doing prior to getting the There was only one thing I would suggest to you for using it on a carpet the base on the floor is rounder and you will need to use quite a lot of pressure on the pole to prevent it from moving. This large ceiling mount isn't an issue, and it will not break through drywall due to its design. It stayed in one place on carpet for about a week when I put some pressure on it to hold it in place. It left a circle in the carpet that was very difficult to remove even when I vacuumed it over and over again. To assemble the pole, I cut a 12" by 12" piece of 1/2 plywood, painted it white, and placed it under the bottom base (you can use the holes provided on the base to attach the plywood to the pole). It only takes a couple of times with a vacuum over the carpet to clean the plywood off the carpet after it has been leaving for a week. The carpet lays normal again after the plywood has been used. The ceiling is made from brocade, so even after moving the pole several times, the ceiling is not damaged. Pop corn spraying on the ceiling may compress the Styrofoam, leading to you being able to see the two long non skid bars on your ceiling. Warning Keep yourself safe (just a word of precaution). That pole has been well worth the money we spent on.
