The bar is excellent
5/5

Moen has been very helpful to me so far. The bar is excellent. There are many Moen grab bar systems available, and I am very happy with them. Since I am a contractor and have supplied handicap bars to many customers over the years, these have consistently been the best ones. I would like to highlight three points specifically for those looking for a bar In addition to the two diameter bars, Moen makes the following One and one quarter inches and one and a half inches. There is no difference between the two. It depends on what your needs are. My customer wanted my product to be 1 1/4" in diameter, and this one was perfect for her. There are people who have trouble gripping the 1 1/2" ones with their hands. There are two types of bars smooth bars and bars that have been "peened. ". For gripping purposes, I always strongly recommend the peened finish to my customers, especially if these bars are located in a wet environment such as a shower. Having that extra sense of security can make all the difference. The concealed flange design seems to be the better choice for installation. So you don't see the screws under that cap, it adds a pleasing finishing touch. My customers have responded in the most positive way Putting them in now would have been better than An old person, an unstable person or something unsightly is not the only one with it. It has been my pleasure to install for a wide range of people including those who are Keeping safe is always a good idea!.

The dents and bends are a sign of wear
3/5

These bars were ordered back in December in hopes of getting them installed, but I was unable to find anyone to do so. Recently, I found someone willing to install them after they were parked in my spare room for a while. They were vital after falling twice in the shower but not after falling twice in the bathtub! A trip to the hospital is also required. Then I decided that I had to have them installed and I found a contractor Each of them was still wrapped in the plastic bag in which it came, as well as the plastic protector. During the holiday season, they were delivered loose in a bigger box than needed. They lay on the floor of my spare room for several months after they were found. After installing them, the fellow pointed out that the ends of the bars were bent, but pointed out that the "sleeve" would cover them. It took him a while to straighten them out before installing. They were shipped in an oversized box without any packing to prevent them from being bent, so I believe that is why they got The items got installed, but I wasn't impressed with the packaging they came in. If I had opened them months earlier, I probably would have sent them back for a refund.

Hardware was omitted from the package
3/5

I bought this grab bar to match the one I purchased before. The first product has worked very well once it has been installed. One of the problems with this one is that the Secure Mount hardware was not included. There were only a few screws on it. Based on the description and images, I would have expected this to come with Secure Mount hardware as well. As a result, I have asked for the necessary It is possible for me to change my review if I receive My only option if not to return this grab bar is to return it at my expense.

The bar is very heavy and sturdy
5/5

A couple of weeks ago, we used the tub and shower in the guest bathroom so I added the bar and a companion 12" to the tub. It was not installed by me, it was installed by the contracting company (doing other work in the house) who used my impact driver for the job. It is easy to obtain these items at the "big box" stores, but he used his tile bit. Thus, I could have done it myself but was too lazy to do so. Installing the software is pretty simple. It requires you to locate the studs (the most difficult part), pilot the holes through cultured marble and sheet rock, and insert the screws (nice and long and heavy duty). While pondering what length to get for 16" OC studs, I would say that when I looked at OC studs, I would say under my breath that there wasn't a 16" bar for level installation (that I found in this styles). It is installed at an angle (low end behind the bathtub and high end near the faucet end) over 2 studs. It has worked out very well for the elderly to feel more secure (the parched surface makes it easier for them to get in & out of the tub). To find out more about As I stand there, I'm taking a shower.

This grab bar is very good quality
5/5

I was looking for a brushed nickel grab bar that was not too thin, wasn't shiny, and had a texture that would not make it Although it was stainless steel (brushed nickel finish), the piece I got was too thick and still had a glossy finish. I found the peening to be peculiar and Having the right thickness and ease of installation as well as a matte finish made this the perfect choice I like the texture of this product because it isn't distracting from the overall bathroom theme. It's a very nice, well-made item, and I expect it to last for a very long time. Moen, thanks for your help!.

Once installed correctly, this looks very nice and is extremely sturdy
4/5

I really like how this grab bar looks. The grab bar was installed in my mother's bathroom as she needed a grab bar. Because all of her fixtures and hardware were polished brass, it made sense to design around that. There was no problem installing this grab bar, it looks great, and it was not too difficult to assemble. As far as the cost, I feel like they overcharge for the brass version in comparison to the standard look. If you are installing horizontally, you will need an anchor set since the length does not hit both studs at one time. In contrast, if you have fixtures or hardware in your bathroom that has the solid brass look, then this will be the perfect fit.

Purchased a pair of these, installed one outside the shower, and the other inside the shower, using the For my fiberglass shower, I bought two of these
5/5

It is a little more grippable than the smooth finish, so I chose the peened As far as I was concerned, I was able to install one outside the shower, so that getting in it would be easier. In the fiberglass shower I had to mount the other one. In addition to the additional complexity of installing a fiberglass shower, it can be tricky to repair it. This fiberglass shower isn't fully attached to the studs, so there is a gap between the fiberglass and the studs. To install the shower bar and handle, I decided to go with a Moen SecureMount. A separate review of my experiences with SecureMount can be found here.

Despite good bar and cheap Phillips screws, they stripped It is a great idea to use I only have a problem with the mounting screws they provide
4/5

These Phillips head screws strip as soon as they are installed. This is where the weakness lies. It is impossible to use Toss the old one away and get a new one. It's time for them to improve the screws and provide them with better materials. It is well known that Phillips screws strip out. These screws are made of low-grade metal, so they are very cheap.
