Questions & Answers
This screen is extremely thin and easily rips.
This mesh is commonly used to cover window frames or porches. It's not a good idea to put it near a heat source.
There is no such thing as privacy anymore. The screen is difficult to see. However, we did use it to construct a screened-in patio, which turned out beautifully.
The size of your spline is determined by the frame of your window. The screen is not to blame. Take a piece of old spline to the hardware store and buy a small roll of spline first; if it's the right size for your frame, order more spline from Amazon and save a lot of money.

We can live with the fact that it's a little darker than our previous screens. It is simple to set up. Our cats have shown that they are tough enough to withstand the odd clawing. I would buy this product again.
Easy to measure, mount, and find additional uses in my chicken coop with screens. I'd never screened in a frame before, but this roll of screen made it simple. I also used the leftovers as additional filtration for my rain barrels and water feature.
On my porch, I replaced the screens. The lower rating is due to the presence of two darker lines on the screen, preventing me from using two sections. It's a good thing I ordered more than I needed. br>br>The seller contacted me and inquired as to what was required to satisfy me. I stated that my work was completed. I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows to order extra just in case.
I bought a heavy-duty pet screen from another company last year. But the price difference was so large that I shouldn't have expected so much. Others, on the other hand, had used it for pet screening. One reviewer even claimed that his cat climbed up on it and did no harm! I expected it to be on par with the previous screening, but it isn't. We need really strong pet screens on our side porch where they play because we have two very active male cats that weigh over 20 pounds! br>br>The screening appeared to be in good condition, but it was far too light for us. Also, despite having some stretch, it was ripping where stapled to our wooden porch frame, as if some of the staples had torn the screen slightly, weakening it to the point where it tore a hole as it was stretched across the frame's 38" opening. br>br>We ended up replacing this with a roll of ADFORS pet screening, which is much more durable. It was perfect for our type of application! But, if we were just re-enacting, I'm not so sure. Using standard framed screens, we were able to determine whether or not this product would be a good fit. However, it is not strong enough to support a group of 20 cats climbing on it, which is exactly what we require! br>br>Your requirements may differ. Ours is most likely a one-of-a-kind scenario. So I'm giving it three stars because it's unlikely to tear if inserted into a frame the traditional way, and it looks nice!.
This came in handy on a few occasions. The first thing I did was replace the screens in my screened-in porch. It had been 65 years since the breezeway had been rescreened. The old-fashioned look of these screens is still present. After removing the old wire mesh, it was discovered that the new screening needed to be stapled in place. This mesh was perfect for this project, and I also had a sliding screen that ran from the kitchen to a ripped deck. That fit the screeming perfectly, and it was simple to insert the spline. As a result, I strongly suggest it.
The screen in our screened-in porch needed to be replaced, so I ordered this roll. in patio. Thank you for having a lower price than the big box stores and for delivering quickly.
My Amazon order arrived today, and I was able to quickly repair my old torn window screen. This roll is enormous in size. My back window and sliding screen door can both be repaired with 48" x 100" of fabric. This is ideal for these hot summer days. Keeping the flies at bay is essential! Next, I'll place an order for Grandma's house!.
It's ideal for the do-it-yourselfer. In all honesty, if you want a "durable" screen, you'll either need to know someone who knows someone or hire someone. br>br>This screen is great; it gets the job done. Its gauge, on the other hand, isn't as thick and tough as a professional's. I am a seasoned DIY/Home Improvement professional who would use this to complete a job, but I would feel obligated to inform the customer that this screen would likely receive a 6 on a scale of 10.
