To close the window, simply remove these. I can't close my windows with the screens in place, but they came in from the outside.
Our window screens are made of a tough fiberglass mesh, and many of our customers have reported that they work well with their pets. Our screens, however, are not guaranteed to be claw-free. They are not designed to keep pets contained or prevent scratching, so they should always be used with caution around pets.
To keep these screens in place, they are designed to sit in the window sash with the window lowered. Thank you. br>br>

Because I have cats, I simply cracked them. It made me sad to think that I wouldn't be able to open my windows to get some fresh air for myself and my cats. Then I came across these, and you have some very happy cats, as well as a very happy Momma. These are simple to set up and will not fall down. Thank you very much!.
I've been using these types of screens for 30 years because I live in a Victorian with original windows. This is the first time I've purchased one of this caliber. Brush strips to seal the window are amazing, solid details. These are fantastic. So, by all means, purchase this brand.
For my cats, I bought the screens. When the windows are open and cats are in the window sills, I was nervous about one screen. br>I installed these next to existing screens so I wouldn't have to worry about cats escaping. br>Extremely well-made and durable.
On my first floor, I have two windows that are missing their screens - That was taken care of by my feline friend. I don't open the windows very often because once it gets hot, I'm all about the air conditioning, so I couldn't justify replacing the old screens with new custom made ones at about ten times the cost, especially since I only needed one because the other window is much smaller and they had one that fit at the local home center. br>br>And believe me when I say that the build quality is unrivaled. These are well made and slide very smoothly compared to the store bought one I have; there is very little flex and the design keeps them aligned very well versus the other one, which has a cheap wooden frame and only one contact point, making it much easier to become lose and difficult to install and remove over time. I know because I started the summer with one I bought a few years ago and it did not last a month this year. br>br>Installation was a breeze; all I had to do was remove it from the plastic, place it in the window, open it to fit into the frame, and close the window to secure it. There are more detailed instructions for sizing them available, but it took me less than a minute to get it in place for my needs. I expect this screen to last a long time, based on how easy it opens and closes and how often I'll likely use it; plus, I have a spare, so I'll be set for a few years or until my cat destroys the next screen. Without a doubt, this is a high-quality screen that I can strongly recommend.
We had previously used wooden-style screen inserts, and there is no comparison. These cling to the track like a glove. There's no need to try to keep them from collapsing before the window shuts! Due to the weather - Around the edges, there is a stripping type of material that creates a tight fit that keeps bugs out. Even for older, less-skilled people, they're very forgiving. than- The windows are perfect. We ordered eight adjustable screens and were so pleased with them that we went back to order several more. I would strongly suggest it. Also exceptional is the company. This was extremely beneficial. Thank you a lot!.
These are of excellent quality, and cats enjoy looking out of the larger screen. I also like the bristle edges on the sides, which keep anything from flying around. I had some trouble getting the large size to fit in the window. There's one side of the screen that's completely flush and has nothing to grab for leverage no matter which way you turn it. It's difficult to slide it open the last inch when there's nothing to hold on to. Every time, I have a hard time and have even thrown the screen out the window. I don't think this would be an issue in smaller sizes, but the large would benefit from a small tab or something similar to grab onto and slide.
While I look for a permanent replacement, I was able to make a workaround by rotating the screen vertically and using heavy-duty tape. It's held in place with heavy-duty velcro. Because I now have a cross breeze, I'm willing to sacrifice aesthetics for functionality, and I'm glad I found this screen on Amazon.
I have a couple of cats who aren't aware of how sharp their claws are, and I'm afraid they'll get through a single screen. These are absolutely incredible. They're well-made, fit perfectly in my window once adjusted, and provide an additional layer of protection. It also makes it slightly more difficult for someone on the outside to look inside, which is ideal for people like me who are concerned about privacy and security. In the future, I'll be purchasing more!.
