Questions & Answers

Is it a product of the United States of America?

No way, China.

To keep critters off the deck, I'd like to wrap this around our desk fence. Will it be easy for critters to eat through it?

No, it isn't easily ripped! Exceptional craftsmanship!

What are the differences between the colors?

We only sell charcoal at the moment, but grey will be available in August. Thank you for your inquiry!

What about smaller insects like gnats and mosquitoes? How effective is this screening at keeping them out? Is the screening sufficiently tight to keep small bugs out?

Yes. The mesh on this screen is extremely fine. It even prevents seeums from entering.

I wanted to like this screen, but it wasn't quite right
3/5

I spent the entire day replacing all of my house's screens. It was a drizzly day with a high chance of rain. The screens were simple to install, and there was enough to cover all of the windows in my house, with enough left over to finish the sunroom. Today is a bright and sunny day, so I decided to work on the sunroom windows, and I'm noticing that when the sun shines directly on the screen, it shines and makes it difficult to see outside. In my photo, the screen on the right is the replacement, and the screen on the left is my old screen. Now I'm looking over all of the screens I spent so much time replacing, and they all have a sheen to them. I should've done a little more homework on screens. Now I'm either going to try to live with the sheen until I feel like I've gotten my money's worth, or I'm going to give in to my ocd and redo all of them with a better product. I really wanted to like this screen, but I'm not sure how it works with curb appeal and functionality on sunny days. 😕.

Excellent visual quality
5/5

This was an excellent choice for replacing all of our house's screens. It appeared to be reasonably strong for a standard durability screen. I've previously ripped other screens by running my spline roller off track. This screen was a little more lenient. It held together and didn't split even when I made a very tight corner fit and wrapped it around burrs in the screen frame. It is rigid due to the fact that it is made of fiberglass, but it can be tightly fitted on a sturdy frame. I re- The black finish gives a nice clean look, but the view out is surprisingly clear, and it screened about thirty windows without a problem and with minimal waste. I'd buy it again if the situation required it, but I still have some material on hand. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> Our kitten has just climbed to the top of one of the new re-inforced concrete re-inforced concrete re-inforced concrete re-in a set of screen doors I sprayed it with water, and it climbed half-way down before jumping off. The screen was not harmed in any way. It's not possible to say it's pet-friendly. Proof. It is, however, water resistant.

DocaScreen went above and beyond what I had hoped for
5/5

My daughter and her husband recently purchased an 182-year-old house with no screens in any of the windows. So I went into production mode after offering to build screens for them. DocaScreen provided me with a fiberglas screen that meets all of my expectations. The screen is tough to cut with a razor blade, but it's simple to do so. Even when it comes off a tight roll, it lays flat, making accurate measurements simple. Because of the long roll, there is very little waste – this is by far the most cost-effective method of purchasing screen. The dark fiberglass material appeals to me because it lets light in while avoiding the glare that aluminum-based materials produce. Screens for typing The 100- My foot roll arrived in a heavy box that protected it from the elements and on time; the only problem is that my wife has discovered screens of her own that need to be repaired, so my to-do list is growing even longer! This is an excellent product, and I will definitely order more if I require them. this item is available for purchase.

I became ill as a result of hazardous toxins - I was pleased with the speed with which the fiberglass screen arrived, and I set about unrolling it and replacing old screening material in the screen frames
3/5

I noticed a strange odor shortly after, which reminded me of an oil furnace turning on for the first time when it became cold. I didn't give it much thought and went about my business as usual. I had a severe headache, was nauseous, and my stomach was upset in less than an hour. The odor coming from the screening material made me sick, so I realized what was going on. I double-checked the label, and it was indeed made in China. China's manufacturing process appears to involve a lot of petroleum or something similar. br>br>I had to put the finished screens and roll material out on the deck, which helped, but knowing that these are made of hazardous materials and will be in my home makes me feel very uneasy.

The screen is of good quality
5/5

It's a great product, with a nice weight to it and a nice stretch to it. It resists tearing at the edges. Black is a fantastic color. Gray appears to be a strange character. This 100-foot roll was a much better deal than the 50-foot roll. You can buy this screen with confidence, and I intend to do so again. I'm just a regular Joe who wasn't paid to write this review.

Strange craters
3/5

To enclose our porch, we used this screen. We liked it at first because it was simple to install and looked nice, but about three months after it was installed, small holes began to appear in various locations throughout the screen (see photos of a few of the spots). We're not sure if they're areas where the screen has degraded or if they're being eaten by a bug. In any case, it's been a letdown.
