I bought this screen and found it to be noticeably thicker than a standard screen. It has a longer lifespan than the standard type. I don't think it would last very long if it was exposed to pet paws, so I'd recommend using a pet screen or a metal type of screen panel to cover the openings.
This isn't a thick strand of wire - It's a tougher screening material designed for bigger openings. I used it to create custom screens that are approximately 10 feet long. a 6' x 13' x 6' x 13' x 6' x 13 Everything went smoothly.
Yes, the weave is extremely tight.
Both black and gray were used in this project. This has worked flawlessly on two heavily used screen porches. Although the fiber is thicker than standard screen, it does not obstruct vision. After 7 years, I'm still a big fan of this stuff.

It's working well, but I'd suggest using a heavier spline, which I discovered. 140 points higher than. 125 It will hold up better while the rest of the screen is being rolled out.
I made a bug screen out of this for my garage door. I had a lot of leftover material from this roll because my door is 10ft x 7ft. It sews up quickly, is very easy to work with, and isn't stiff or fragile like some screens are. I used sewn-on hook and loop to make it easy to remove, as well as strip magnets in the middle to make it easy to open and close.
The screens on our porch were replaced by my husband and me. They're all there. It was ideal and simple to implement. The roll is heavy, so it was a little difficult to hold it up, but overall, it was pretty good and turned out beautifully.
br>It was also very easy to use. Because my husband had never done anything like this before, our family and friends were eager to see how it turned out. Flies, bugs, and wasps are no longer able to enter. The patio and the screen both look fantastic. This will now be tried by our family and friends. The end result has pleased us. For our porch's large oceanfront panels (48" by 12 feet), I needed a slightly heavier mesh than I could get at Ace. It was a bit more difficult to install - more effort to avoid some looser mesh "bubbles" Of course, doing this on the beach with a nice breeze makes installation difficult in the first place! I'll tell you something I learned: Although most of the other sections were just under 48" and this role worked fine, the other two sections were just OVER 48" and I still needed to go to Ace for 24' of 60" mesh after the first replacement after 6 years.
Material for screening of high quality. I built a screened-in porch out of it. This was more durable than the Lowes stuff. It has a nice appearance and allows for good visibility through the screen.
This screen has been pierced three times by my 50-pound mixed breed dog. This screen was ripped apart by a simple jump up the screen, nothing aggressive. I've used this material to replace the screen on my sliding door three times, and each time my dog has chewed holes in it. I'm just going to buy a new brand after going through the roll.
This was used as a screen for a 10 foot wide, nearly 12 foot tall door. To join the pieces, I used magnets and gorilla tape. br>This is a fantastic product that is far more durable than anything I could find locally. I made a roll-up screen for the second door by joining two doors together. br>After last year's mega-sized and massive-quantity of mosquitoes (following Hurricane Florence), I needed something durable and large that didn't break the bank.
