It is true.
It is possible to slip one end link inside the opposite end, but it will not pass through completely. It should be enough to lock most padlocks I might want to use.

Several months ago, I bought a 4 foot chain on Amazon that I paid roughly $20 for. There is a great deal of theft in the North East and bike cables are easily cut, so I'm planning on using this bike chain as a heavy duty bike chain. chose the longer chain to give me more options on how to lock my bike. At 4 pounds, it's also lighter. Although it has a longer length, it is heavier than most. This article leaves out an important fact how large a lock can fit in a chain link depends on the chain. When I received the chain, I tested my bike to make sure the chain was intact Lock your door. It was possible for me to slowly slide in my lock. I had a hard time getting in. During the process, rubber or plastic coating on the u-shaped frame was scratched and scraped Lock your door. The chain should be able to hold a maximum of 16mm (approximately. 6. 3 cm), Your lock may have a maximum thickness of 15mm if it is pure metal. If the chain cannot fit through the spokes on your wheels and/or through the frame of your bike, have the spokes cut. Physcially, the chain certainly appears to be okay as far as the welds go. this review when I have tested it further, but so far it seems to be working well.
Edit this sentence. It had prevented my bike from being stolen a week ago when I reviewed this chain with 5 stars. Sadly, when I went to unlock my bike, it was gone when I got up in the morning. It is clear that whoever attempted to steal my bike in the beginning returned with a larger bolt cutter and managed to get inside. It cost me around $240 to purchase the bike, so I have suffered a big loss. This chain does not meet our standards.
Since the nylon cover is riveted to each end to keep it in place, I'd like to be able to bunch it up to reveal open links, so the chain could be locked somewhere other than the one exposed link at the end. The axe otherwise seems very sturdy, but there's no information available on which alloy it's made out of or how hard it is, which causes me a little concern. This is way too heavy for a bicycle wheel this would be more appropriate for a motorcycle wheel, a heavy gate, or a trailer wheel.
This looks and feels the same. Since I saw a thief on camera cut the cable off my bike like butter, I'll never buy another cable (braided steel) for my bike. As a result, it will take them longer to remove this chain and will take up a little more of their time, or more importantly, they will need to use large bolt cutters that are difficult to conceal. There is no comparison to the price here.
An extra length gives you the ability to lock to trees, etc. The bike racks can accommodate a variety of bikes, fat bikes, etc. It would be nice if the links were better welded. This is a nice feature if you are using a shrouded padlock since the starting link passes through the end link. I like the nylon sheath, it's not as thick as kryptonite, but it's nice. In the end I expect the rivets holding it in place to come loose, however, a couple of zip ties will fix that. All in all, a nice, thick, hardened chain for just over $22 delivered!.
The advertised 4 foot length is 48", a little less than an inch short. However, it is adequate for my needs. The security chain that I use on my bicycle.
It may not have been the most secure, but it was certainly better than the average chain located at big box stores. A 17-dollar bill was issued to me. Four feet are taxed at 45 cents per foot. A thick layer of 10mm. It would be easy to add another chain to the mix.
I have a nice bike that I don't want to lose. This thing is very heavy, and that is its only downside. You cannot have both strength and safety unless you have Therefore, everything should be fine. I can keep my bike safe, and also reduce the likelihood of it being stolen.
