I'd like to know what you're going to do with the t-shirt. They're nuts, but I used them to make my sofa legs taller. I started by drilling a hole in the center of the t-shirt so the leg posts could fit through. If you're going to screw something else into the plywood, you'll need to know how far you'll go through the post. The 5/16 will fit into the 1/2" ply without any problems.
They're triangular and rounded, so that's an approximation of 1 inch to 1 1/4 inch.
I'm sorry, but I don't get "2." For me, they were adequate.

They appear to be well-made and heavy-duty. made. They were ideal for my application because they are designed to be held in place securely with the included screws. My only complaint is that, despite the product description indicating that it is a package of 8 tee nuts with 3 screws included for each nut, the package I received only contained 6 tee nuts, with the 3 screws for the two missing nuts. I assume this was due to a packaging error, but even though I only needed 6 tee nuts and did not have the time to wait for a replacement order, it is always disappointing to discover that a description is in error.
I had some two-inch casters that I had installed on a rolling shelf that I had constructed, and I had used those hammer-in tee nuts to secure the casters. However, they continued to appear, and every month or so, I had to flip the entire thing over and attempt to re-assemble it. It should be safe. So I bought these screw-in tee nuts, which work great and are very sturdy. I wish I had purchased these the first time around!.
I received a sofa that was missing tee nuts (due to a manufacturing flaw). These are the perfect fit. This item is extremely durable. The screws are a little short, but three per tee nut should be enough. The sofa frame was plywood - I'll update the review if it falls apart. So far, the screws have held up well. br>br>These saved me from returning the sofa and having to wait another three months for a replacement.
These t-shirts are fantastic. I use them for my kitchen islands and anything else with bun feet, and they do a fantastic job. They are 5/16 x 18 TPI and can be easily removed for any reason, such as moving or changing the leg out. In my opinion, the price is excessive; previously, it was a better deal, and I used to get 12 in a pack.
I used the tee nuts to build a coffee table from scratch. They're great for when you need stability but don't have enough room to drill all the way through to fasten them top to bottom.
For years, I've used these, along with their nylon feet, on a variety of furniture. These are far superior to standard tee nuts in terms of performance, and you won't have to worry about them falling out. Rockler products have always been a big hit with me.
Solid and well-anchored into the wood, the furniture legs are held in place very securely. Others of this type fail because they pull out too easily.
This is by far the best T nut available. It has cleats to keep it from twisting and is secured with screws rather than nails. The only problem was figuring out what size hole to drill because it was made by Rockler. 15/32nd.
