Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use these for rock climbing?

Rock climbing is something I know little about, but I sure as hell would not attempt it. It is designed to be embedded in wood after a hole is drilled with the appropriate diameter of hold. Most people will 'set' them with a small screw to the side of the telescopic tube until the telescopic tube has trouble moving This is nuts. It is the head of a small screw that overlaps the T-shaped head The nut ensures that the T is intact A nut that is not turning or returning to the wood will not turn. I guess if one had the same weight as a squirrel, the right drill on his belt, and some epoxy, he might be able to do something like that May be worth a try You may treat these as holds if you are ineligible The human race.

Can these sofa legs be used with Ikea sofas?

Because I don't understand the exact intended use in which these will be used I can't definitively say whether they will work with Ikea furniture. The nuts have worked well on woodworking fixtures that I frequently make and I will continue to do so. I find Ikea furniture to be primarily made with particle board and isn't very durable.

Is there a size of hole that I have to drill in order ?

The drill bit must be sized so that when it is attached to the shaft of the T-shaped drill bit, it is The nut, no smaller than the shaft and no larger, is approximately equal in size. This would be a tight fit with a 1/4" bit. Three eighths of an inch should be able to fit comfortably. As part of A snug fit is achieved between the two. In general do not exceed 3/8" in diameter but if all the bits you find are too large, drill a test hole in a scrap of wood with one of the closest ones. You can use them if you have extras To determine if this will work with your project, insert the nuts where you know how it fits. If no extra T-nuts are required, insert them as desired. A set of nuts and a shank should not exceed the length of a set-nut If you want the prongs to go into the scrap wood, place the prongs on the scrap then press the scrap against the prong hole. Once the T-marks are drilled, drill the area around the prong marks so the prongs do not secure the T-marks Screw the nut to the scrap wood, allowing you to feel the shaft as it passes through.

This is not worth the effort
3/5

This 1/4-inch diameter screw was purchased by me The following is the design for a 20 x 7/10" t-shirt The reason I used the longer nuts instead of the standard length ones was so that more threads would be engaged when I used long screws, and so that shorter screws would still The only reason I can think of anybody buying extended length shirts is for these very reasons Unfortunately, the threads on the nuts don't extend any further than standard, short t-shaped surfaces You need nuts for these In the product images, they show the rings all the way to the rim. Because of this, they are not as good as the cheaper alternatives It is also easier to obtain Those that are standard length They are virtually useless to me, so I can't use them. The only thing I wish I had noticed before installing 80 of them is that I missed the warning.

Don't work on anything else but pulling
3/5

Our shelves didn't stay in place even with a threaded pole, so we tried using these as part of an extension pole. It sounded like that we'd be able to hammer them into place and thread the pole through them, but that doesn't work. If you put a bolt through from the other side and pulled it tight, I'm sure they would be okay.

No longer recommended for use on a recurring basis
3/5

There is no way to hold the nut in place with 5/16-long prongs over time. If those nuts are to be used one time (and even if 10% of them "flatten" instantly), then they might be okay for a climbing wall, but not for a climbing wall of any kind. There are prongs that are at least 3/8 long that can be used.

Ideally suited for projects using 3/4" sheets of melamine or plywood
5/5

The smaller size of this shirt The nut is the perfect fit for projects made from plywood or melamine. My habit is to place levelers at the bottom of shelf units whenever I make them, so that they can be hid with base molding later. Although it may be overkill, I would be angry if I had to put in a set of shelves and find they're not perfectly level. A leveler is a cheap insurance policy. Five sixteenths of an inch It is just 23/32" in diameter and will fit within the nuts and levelers.

This is a good climbing rock
4/5

There were just a few pieces I needed for my climbing wall and I didn't want to spend a hundred bucks on one hundred pieces. In at least five or six of these, the threads were messed up. If you plan to install them, make sure to check them first.

It was of good quality and at a fair price
5/5

It was great having these things in place. Affixing layers of 0 to them was easy thanks to them. With 75 inches of horse stall mats, place one in front of the other. Five inches long, one-fourth of an inch wide This machine screw has 20 threads. I was pleased with the price and the quality of the product.

I did not use the correct metric size
3/5

The 50 in the package seem great at first glance, but as soon as I put the 1/4" x 20 bolt in I noticed it was not going to They didn't fit. I grabbed another and another and they didn't Therefore, I brought the gauges out to determine whether the pitch fit and found that 20 did not work. Upon further inspection, I found that they were M6x10, There's a clear 1/4 - line on the bag This is a 20 x 7/16 gauge. READY TO RETURN.
