Installing the inserts does not necessitate the purchase of any special tools. With a bolt, nut, a couple of washers, and some anti-seize, you can make your own. Take advantage of the fact that Google is on your side.
No, you can't use a rivet gun on them, but you can compress them with a bolt, nut, and washer. On the internet, you should be able to locate it. I hope this has been of assistance.

The rivnuts were packaged in an Amazon bag with a plastic bubble liner. Regrettably, the plastic case was crushed, and the rivnuts were strewn about the bag. The storage case is made of brittle plastic that would shatter if dropped to the ground. With several of the rivnut items weighing more than 40 grams per case, the case is likely to crack before the items are used up.
I bought these thinking that all threaded rivets were the same size OD, and that I only needed them to replace old or damaged rivets. However, I discovered that the outside diameter of these ones is too small when compared to the rivets that need to be replaced.
This set provides a nice variety of nuts and prepares me for the inevitable. They were the right size and shape for the screwbolt, and they squished together tightly. With the Xth-, you're making a wise investment for the future. The BT619 hand nut riveter is the Nth model! br>For more information, see my tool review.
If you know what they are and you're in need, this is the place to go. I'm not sure what the holding capacity (grade) is, but they're good enough for everyday use.
I purchased SAE rivet nuts, which I intend to use. I'll never use the metric ones, but I needed to persuade them to purchase the tool, as I previously stated.
I'm not sure I trust the splines not to twist loose under torque because they're so small. Just in case, I added a couple of drops of epoxy.
This rivnut kit is for you if you have OCD and can't stand loose hardware. With a little more experience, I believe I'll have to rename my job title in my shop from "Professional Zip-Tie Specialist" to "Professional Zip-Tie Specialist. " "Tie Technician" and "Professional Rival" are two terms that can be used interchangeably. A "Nutter".
This is an excellent collection. Take your time and practice with a few, as applying too much force to them will warp them and make it difficult to screw a bolt into them. I'm using them as exterior items for my car, and they've held up well against rust so far. Great set for the price.
