Don't get me wrong, these do exactly what they say on the tin, but Compared to other manufacturers, these have a thinner wall. It also has a smaller flange. They work because I've tried them. There are a few things that can be done to ensure that you maintain control. Drill a hole with such a tight tolerance that you'll need to tap the insert into the hole with pressure (a hammer). The small spline-like sides will hold in place as you screw in a bolt when squished with a rivet tool; additionally, I gave a second torque using a bolt and greased washers at least two for sliding and tightened before installing a hose bracket. So far, the inserts have held up well; however, if the insert is used in a situation where the bolt is removed and reinstalled frequently, I would recommend purchasing heavier threaded rivets from Tacoma Screw or a similar company. IMHO.
The Revit nuts themselves are good; I haven't tried all of them; I only needed one size, but the crip was clean and held the metal securely. The case is inexpensive and easily opens; additionally, the hinge is made of the same plastic as the case (rather than being a two-piece design). part with a pin hinge) will quickly break due to fatigue. Because there are so many small parts, I purchased a better, segmented case and transferred the Revit nuts to it before sweeping them up from the floor. br>br>Overall, I'd buy from them again, but they could have saved some money by shipping the Revit nuts in small bags instead of the bulky case.
I was modifying a "newer" truck bed for my 1956 Ford Dually, and I needed to mount the fenders in a double walled area, which made it nearly impossible to attach them while still being able to remove them for painting or other repairs. It was possible because of the blind rivet nuts, which were simple to use and install.
They helped me put some custom mirrors on my Baja bug. It's better than using rivets, and it also looks better.
I bought these to mount led lights, but I had no idea I'd find so many other uses for them when custom building 4x4s and work trucks.
Excellent value for money. a wide range of options.
It's a quick and easy way to solve a problem.
Cars and trucks alike will love it.
