Questions & Answers

Are you in possession of a quarter- 20 or a different size with 0. How about a grip range of 25 inches?

Hello, we're sorry, but we don't have any rivet nuts in 0. The grip range is 25 inches. Please contact us if you require a large quantity; we can manufacture it. br>br>Many thanks, Sukibr>

What is the bolt thread size, for example, 6mm?

Twenty threads per inch on a quarter inch of fabric. 20tpi x 1/4" National Coarse Thread (UNC) is a term that refers to the coarse thread used in the United States.

Is it possible to thread a bolt through the nut's opposite end? This is not the intended use, as far as I can tell. ?

It certainly has the potential to. The threds are not tapered and are not connected to the compression point.br>Tim

Is it possible to use them with wood?

These riv nuts are designed to be installed in the front of a piece of metal, but they can also be used in the back. They'd be great in wood if installed from the back to accept machine thread bolts from the front, but I doubt the wood compression would provide enough pull strength if installed from the front (same side as the bolt).

The work is excellent, and these are ideal for a project I'm completing
5/5

I couldn't find a drawing before purchasing them, so I made one myself. I measured the sizes of three different ones with a digital caliper and averaged the results. If you don't have the tool to install Rivet Nuts, I recommend using a long bolt, a nut, and a few washers, followed by the Rivet Nut. Place it in the hole you made, tighten the nut, and the bolt will stay in place. If you don't have a tool, this is the best way to do it. If the Rivet Nut also tunes with the nut, try putting grease between the washers to make them slide more easily. Other than that, I'm at a loss for words. They're fantastic.

Rivnuts made of stainless steel that are very nice
5/5

So far, I've only used five, one of which was to see if my tool could handle stainless steel. The towel rack was then mounted on an aluminum wall using four Rivnuts. It was a success. br>I believe my Rivnut tool is only good for 8/32 or 10/32 Steel Rivnuts, but larger Aluminum Rivnuts are no problem. If you don't have a tool, you can use a grade 5 bolt, a few washers to allow things to slip, a "regular nut with the threads drilled out," and a long nut. br>br>If you don't have a tool, you can use a grade 5 bolt, a few washers to allow things to slip, and a "regular nut with the threads drilled out. It is not something I would suggest
3/5

I would not recommend them, and I seriously doubt that they are stainless steel. As an engineer who works with materials on a daily basis, I can tell you that they are coated with what appears to be zink. At the very least, these would be an alloy. We use stainless steel rivets frequently in a variety of applications, and it's obvious when you're working with them.

The ideal solution for a boat made of aluminum
5/5

Installing LED lights on the front of my boat was a breeze with these. I couldn't possibly fit inside the front hatch to hold a nut on the bottom of the hole while someone else tightened the bolt from the top, not to mention the fact that I'd have to do it all over again if I ever wanted to remove them. These were the ideal answer to my dilemma. br>br>I also did these without using the specialized tool, and they turned out great. All I needed were a couple washers, a nut, and a 5/16 grade 5 bolt that was about two inches long with full threads. You can learn how to do this by watching a video on YouTube. Because I couldn't find a hex bolt with enough threads, I used a carriage bolt and simply clamped the head with a pair of vise grips. br>br>Excellent river nuts; we'll see how tough they are in salt water. If they don't hold up, I'll make a new review.

Very difficult to work with
5/5

These are designed for heavy-duty assemblies on a solid metal foundation. Because they're so sturdy, it's best to use a two-part installation method. armed rivet nut tool that can withstand a lot of force - a single- pliers with one hand- To compress them with a tool like this, a lot of squeezing will be required. However, if you're looking for a reliable source of information, These stainless steel rivet nuts are the go-to option. to item. Smooth and well-balanced completed, well-made Threads are clean and smooth, and the construction is sturdy.

Make excellent attachment points for fishing rod holders
5/5

These stainless steel rivet nuts fit perfectly on the square rails of my fishing pontoon boat, holding all of my fishing tod holders with 3/8-inch bolts. There are a total of 16 threaded ends on this project. I simply screw them into the rivet nut that has been assembled, and I'm ready to go! But, after extolling their virtues, I must add that, because they are made of stainless steel, they are extremely difficult to compress during assembly. I have the rivet nut assembly tool, which has two 18-inch long handles, and it takes all of my strength to collapse the bottom up against the underside of the railing material and lock them in place. However, having a nearly flush mount non-rusting rod mount that beats the look of the standard threaded aluminum mounting block supplied with most rod holders of this type is worth it on my boat.

Perfect!

This functioned perfectly. Simply drill a 7/16 hole and they will easily crimp and hold!.

They are functional, but I would recommend brass or aluminum
3/5

Only a few of the entire group of 30 got it right the first time. Even though I used a RC riv nut tool to pull them straight, they were still off center. Maybe it's just me, but most drill bits I see are sae, and you'd think that because they're in a sae size, they'd make the insert fit into a regular size, but no, you have to get an 11/32, I believe, and wobble it around to get a nice snug fit. 5/8 works, but it's a tad too big for me.
