Fits all standard 8 by 8-inch squares from 7-1/2 to 8 inches in size.

Concrete, wood, stone, or oz. can all be used as mounting surfaces. -post (no surface mounting hardware supplied)

Steel that has been hot dipped galvanized and powder coated to a thickness of 3/16 inch.

Pergolas, decks, veranda posts, pavilions, arbors, and railings should all have a raised base to keep the wood post off the ground.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to secure each post to the concrete slab with just four 5/16" x 3" tapcons?

The mounting requirements are described in the engineering report on these (from the OZCO) web site, but it's a little misleading (says Qty (4) 5/8 bolts or Qty (8) 1/4 x 3. There are 75 screws in total. Only one 5/8-inch hole and four 1/4-inch holes are present on the base. I contacted OZCO, who advised me to use only one 5/8 bolt or four 1/4" tapcons per base. So I believe you can use four 5/16 tapcons, but I would go a little longer than three inches. For the printed requirement, 4 inches is suggested.

Are stakes included for driving into a concrete slab? Or do they just sit on the slab and everything is held in place by the weight and bracing?

No, you'll need to purchase a 1/2- to 3/4-inch concrete anchor to use with it before setting your post in it.

What are the measurements of the post that will be used in this? I'm going to guess it's seven. 5"x7. I've rough cut true 8"x8" posts, but they're only 5" in diameter. Is this a viable solution?

All standard 8x8 posts (7-inch) can be adjusted to fit. 1/2" to 8") The base has an actual "footprint" of 8.

Can this be adjusted to fit my 6x8 post?

If you want to use a 6x8 post, you'll need to add an extra 2 inches of material to the post, either 2" on one side or 1" on each side if you want to be more aesthetic.

There are parts that are missing

It's a fantastic product. The quality is excellent, and the design is attractive. Some parts (5 nuts) were missing, which is my concern. The 8" x 8" x 12 foot wood post was installed as the base post. When I called customer service to request 5 nuts, they told me I had to return it, which meant I had to remove the plate and post, mail it, and wait another three days. In addition, the item arrived late. Customer service has really irritated me.

The surface is powder coated and looks great. Screws of good quality. It was a breeze to put together, and the result is well worth the money when compared to cheaper mounts.
