As near as I can tell, the diameter is 1 5/8".

Those are the two screws I used, 1/2" hex screws. The length of the letter is 5". However, there is a limit to how long it can be depending on what you mount Since I have 6x6 posts I could go on for a while but it wasn't necessary for me to do so. There was also the possibility that the holes were 5/8" in diameter as well as the 1/2" size I utilized. This project is easy to move gates with construction screws (to screw into trees and posts with an impact driver) and these brackets. Despite what they are, the price is not too high for what they provide. Our previous options were either to prepare in advance or to wait until Having pre-drilled a hole in the door and then using vice grips or a pipe to manually screw the hinge screws in, we were able to quickly install the door You will need to drill an even larger hole for the machine screw hinges to fit with nuts and washers. It takes much longer for both of them and the trees are more damaged when both are done.
This is a really short period of time to return. Despite the fact they are unused, we realized these were the wrong size for what we needed them for, but we couldn't return them now (bought less than two months ago).
