Despite what you might think, it works. In other words, if you don't have a good reason to buy this, do not buy it. It is the most dangerous thing someone could encounter in a building to approach an open hoistway. It is not my job to work on elevators, I work in maintenance in a ten-story You can only use this if you are entrapped. For those of you who are in the same boat as I am, this might be of benefit to Remember to cut the power to your car before you open it, and put yourself in a safe, controlled environment. Having this at hand is helpful if you work in the construction industry

The tool was bought so I would have access to the elevator when we had a problem. Our fire department did not have to be called in order to get the person out of the building.

I did not receive the tag with it

Neither the red tag nor the green tag were on it. The tag is easier for me to find in my busy tool bag because it makes it easier to identify the tool.

The thickness of the door is adjusted

Replacement of an elevator key for an elevator which is more than 68 years old. After adjusting the collar to the thickness of the door using an Allen wrench, it worked fine.
