It is not the first time I have broken a door. Although I have put locks like this on my house, I know that the fire department will be slower to respond to a fire but we have tools to break through them as well. Using a halligan tool in the right hands will get through this fairly quickly, but with a lot of noise, so it will certainly It appears that an average 200lb fireman could handle pressure of up to 1,000lbs applied to a specific point on the door with a halligan tool by applying the force directly to the spot. A lock that's too high or too low will make it more difficult for someone to break It. But the hydraulic tools firemen carry can break locks that weigh up to 5000 lbs.
However, you must purchase your own screws in addition to the ones that are included. These screws are cheap and will break when you use them. The screws should be the same size, but concrete screws should be purchased. There is a considerable difference between the two,
This is on the front door of my house. In addition to what others have said, the lock must be opened inside it cannot be opened or unlocked from outside. Therefore, you cannot access the door from the outside while the lock is installed. Even when I am away from home, I keep it locked at all times since I use my back door to get in and out. In order to improve safety and strength, I installed two of them on my front door, one chest-high and an additional one about two feet from the ground. The reason I did this was because I have a glass panel on the top half of the door, from which if someone were to break the window, the bottom blocker would be inaccessible. A security door (which looks similar to a screen door but is made of heavy gauge metal with its own latch lock and deadbolt) was installed at my back door for extra security. There is no doubt that this door blocker is high-quality (Metal) is a fantastic product that's well made. I highly recommend.
There will be times when you're Three out of three of the products I received had a defect. As a result, the latch was always open due to an improperly loaded spring. If I pushed it, I'm sure the spring would dislodge and it would be impossible to close at all. As soon as it was closed, it could not be opened. That means you need to get a replacement, if that's the case. The only thing you need to do if you want to understand how it works is to pull out the latch as if you were navigating around the latch notch that holds it in place when it's lodged in the recess. You want to pull lateral first, then turn the latch around the notch after that. I hope that was helpful.

I highly recommend it as a supplemental lock as long as you install it with Tapcons, and then toss the junk 3" pot metal screws in the recycling bin. What is the point of providing a robust supplemental lock that can take quite a load when it is attached to junk screws I have uploaded photos to my flickr account. The point I am trying to convey will hopefully be better communicated through them. If an individual attempts to force entry through one of these locks using the supplied screws, they are either going to shear the screws off at the heads, or, the lock holes will slip over the undersized screw heads pretty easily. My favorite part of the lock is the key. My favorite part of the design is the color scheme. What I like is that the lock offers an incredible amount of security compared to an average door with an average lock. The manufacturer fails to provide its customers with quality screws, knowingly leaving them in need of replacement.
Very easy to lock.
Very easy to unlock. Designed for a great deal of security and should deter or stop anyone from entering for at least a year At least If I hit 2 times on a wooden door at this point, I believe you would be woken up. I think it would be able to deter them for several minutes or indefinitely if it were mounted on a steel door. The cons are The screws appear to be junk and break upon installation. My understanding is that this could result in the lock breaking when someone is trying to break in, defeating the purpose. It is a bad experience to deal with customer service. It was evident that they had no interest in the broken screws when I emailed them about them. In my opinion, this product could easily be rated 5 stars if the screws were higher quality and customer service responded promptly. You can watch my video review below for more information.
to keep them Here we have a two year old who's full of energy and an adventurous spirit like none other.
Crooks often now kick in doors to gain entry to buildings, so this reduces the chances of their entry. The higher the door is set, the less chance young children have of leaving the house on their own, allowing strangers in before parents reach the doorstep or going into the parents' bedroom without permission. bought over 30 of these locks recently, and they are currently my favorite gift for family and friends, a set of four locks at a time, with four heavier duty locks, when I can. A Phillips #10 flat in an inch An example of head screws is shown below. The feeling I have when I look at these locks is wonderful! You should note This type of lock cannot be used to exit a structure if you are leaving from a door. There is a need for a bump-inducing device for that application Ideally, you should use a lock that is both water and fire proof. Consider having a nice alarm system, along with other layers of security, along with using these locks when you are at home if you cannot afford the $80 Medeco locks. It is possible to mount large round locks on most doors with only 3 screw holes for renters. For extremely tight doors, one may have to use a chisel, especially if one decides to use a huge #12 Phillips flathead screw These locks can only be fitted with large head screws, which are too big for just any lock, as designed, but in shady neighborhoods, people have modified things to fit long #12 screws. It's just a matter of making sure the door and door frame are up to the challenge. The strength of a lock depends on the strength of its.
