There is much too much space for a door at this height. According to my favorite restoration website, their skeleton keys for doors are approximately 3 1/2 inches long. The vintage china cabinet in which I keep it will look great with this.
This works perfectly for my china cabinet from the 1940s.
My dry sink draws and china cabinet are both locked and opened by it.
I put it in my curio cabinet and it fit perfectly. If your jewelry box is large, I guess it depends what size you are

Since I was a kid, I have been haunted by this memory. I have ordered keys three times and finally am able to use this one. Now that the desk is complete, it looks great! Basically, the top is opened to access the contents. Since I don't need to use my fingernails anymore, I can enjoy cutting things with my fingers. Like the original, the new one is just as durable. From the description, it wasn't clear if it would work, and there was no better price to be had, so I gave it a shot. The key works perfectly and matches the hardware perfectly because it is antique brass in color. My purchase couldn't have been more perfect.
A secretary desk from 1940 or 1950 was bought by me. There is no problem with the key.
One of the keys on a vintage secretary desk that I bought was broken. Since I am not trusting anyone in my house to stay close the door after they leave the key behind, I do not trust them. In this case, it works and is located in a secret location I hope I will remember this information if I need it ever!.
It was given to me by my Aunt. There's actually quite a bit of beauty to it, it's Cherry Hardwood, and it cost $500 back then. About 8 years ago, I broke the key to it. We wanted a key to lock it after we put important papers in It was easy to use, I just put in the key, turned it, and it worked! I believe in small miracles.
