I was able to fit right in
5/5

I've been trying to find a door that would fit this one. This is perfect! In my rental house, I ordered a new one to replace one that is broken. A slumlord billionaire and his staff could not fix the broken door lock on the Anderson Frenchwood Hinged Patio door, which allowed a break-in easily. * I am grateful to the Seller, Amazon, and those who produced the video I watched on replacing the lock actuator!.

It was excellent
5/5

In addition to the house, we bought one of the cars. It was excellent. The door in our new home was broken because we purchased it from a foreclosure. Trying to find out what kind of door we needed on the internet and watching a YouTube video helped a lot. The part is a perfect replacement part, and putting it back together is a fairly easy process. I recommend watching the YouTube videos before you attempt to install the door lock actuator, as they take care of the rookie syndrome. Reviews with a rating less than 5 will not be taken into consideration We have had several doors like this, and some people think it's a bad design. But the truth is that you don't call out bad designs in a review of a replacement part. A door with this type of actuator has been opened and closed multiple times a day for nearly 20 years, and it Although the design of the lock is good, the key is to not force the lock if it does not turn A bind in the door and a partial closing mean the locking rods will not be able to seat and will break if they try to shut. It is very nice that this component is available as a replacement. This was the first time I had to buy one of those cards and was afraid of identifying what it was and how much it would cost. It was neither one nor the other!.

This is the perfect fit for an Andersen French door
5/5

This replacement door is perfect for an old Anderson door that is more than 20 years old. I fixed the issue and it works perfectly now. It was difficult for me to lock my deadbolt due to a stuck knob. One end of the actuator was With only a Phillips screwdriver and some time on their hands, anyone can complete this easy fix. Do not do anything until you watch a YouTube video. Find out where to buy the Anderson lock actuator on the Internet. The seller and Amazon deserve thanks for their assistance.

Added an Anderson 3 to the list Here's the point A lock should be installed on the This is the deadbolt on our Anderson 3 Here's the point There is a problem with the lock on the door

Whenever you raised the door handle, the door handle would just spin loosely and would not engage. In the end, I told my wife, either we would need to replace the door or order the whole lock kit. I did some research and found that the actuator may be the cause of the Here are some nifty Youtube videos we found and instructions we found Our problem was caused by the actuator on the line, and we hoped this replacement would fix it. The answer was yes! I installed the door without any problem and it now works as intended.

A replacement that is exactly the same 21 years after the actuator was installed, it We were unable to lock the door due to its unlocked state

Apparently my instructions didn't teach me where to find the required part. A search for the best deal was made. The Amazon price was not the best, but their free delivery for two days was nice. Luckily I had the chance to work from home while I waited for the part. It was hand delivered at 5pm the next day. The installation and testing took less than five minutes. The software is now working fine. Note

It has been informed to me by Andersen that the warranty only covers it I believe that having an extra one on hand is a great idea for security If you have multiple doors, it would be wise to install an alarm system. It is probably a good idea to have a spare even if it's covered by.

By eliminating this part, we were able to save Our thumb knob on our Anderson French door to our deck broke when it was installed in 2003, so we called our door company, who suggested they had a single handle entry lock system like the one that we originally purchased

Upon arrival, we had to have only the actuator out of it. Having paid $300 for it, we soon learned the only part we needed was its A little part that I found on the web for $14 caught my eye. As far as his husband was concerned, it was easy to switch Once the lock system was returned, we received a full refund of $300.

The new replacement is fine
5/5

In most cases, this is the part that fails in your Andersen door lock. A deadbolt lock for an Andersen 400 series patio door is what this part replaces. Our contractors forgot to turn up the handle on the door so we broke the lock. It was a tricky part in that you have to turn the deadbolt up first to be able to turn it. It seems that this part is most likely to fail in this The process of renewing the light was easy and straightforward, following the instructions provided on Andersen's website. No special tools are Ours was a cost-effective solution, saving us from having to hire a locksmith or replacing the entire handle assembly, which costs about 250 dollars.

In my essay, I'm more concerned about how the part fits into the door than its fit for the part
3/5

been using my Andersen door for about 8 years and am very happy because it is of great quality and does exactly what I want it to with the multi-function feature The locking mechanism is based on a point bolt. Having said that, I'll leave you with this It is the 4th time I have had to order an actuator. 2 parts are built for the part It seems like whatever is being used to join/mate the cross to the bolt is like a ceramic or something like that.
The other parts on the door have never failed, only this simple part.
I am uncertain how they could have still left it the way it is after 10+ years. I wonder if they could have forged or welded it.
