Questions & Answers

Are you able to tell me the distance between the top of the lever and the top of the device? I need to install it under a deadbolt. ?

The handle is more than 2 inches away from the face of the door, so I am not sure it will pose any problems. A peculiar feature of this lockset is that the outside panel is raised a little more than one inch above the level of the interior As you look at them from the side when the door is open, they are not lined up evenly. Entry and exit are not as noticeable as they used to be.

Does the handle have the option of reversing?

Yeah, I agree. This is a very simple process. A small screwdriver can then be inserted into the hole on the shaft so that the lever can be pulled out. If you want to reverse the process, do it.

There is an automatic translation for this ?

Depending on how the switch on the inside is turned, it either opens or doesn't open from the outside. A door on which the lock is not set to open will be locked from outside every time it is closed, and the lock must be unlocked with the code.

We use three of them on our exterior doors in the Midwest
3/5

They are designed for outdoor use, and after just a couple of months (in the winter) they have not failed us. We used clear silicone to create a bead of sealant at the top and sides of the unit. As a result, moisture won't be able to enter the unit during heavy rain, but residual moisture will be able to evaporate. Although I am sure it isn't something mecessay, I feel better about it now.

It works most of the time, but there is no way to override the latch if you get locked out
3/5

This is my third purchase, and I installed them all at the same time. The design is beautiful and sturdy in construction. There is a problem in which I have been "Locked Out" three times at one of the doors, even though the lock on the inside is unlocked. It's not normal for us to switch the turn latch from the lock position on our garage entry door to our house entry door. In this example, the latch is left unlocked for a great deal of time. As the outside handle has been in the same position for a few days, it appears that it has gone into inoperable mode (like when it is There is a problem in that putting in the appropriate code will not automatically re-instate the item Hence, you are stuck on the outside with no way to move the handle to unlatch the latch from the strike plate (locked out) when you try to engage the handle. In normal operation, when the interior knob is rotated vertically, you can hear a very slight clicking sound. This occurs when the handle on the outside is engaged so that the latch can be operated. The knob is disengaged when the knob is horizontal, which is the same sound that occurs when switching the knob horizontally. The exterior handle works for about 3 seconds for you to open the latch after entering the proper access code from outside. You will hear the switch sound after entering the access code from the outside. In fact, after a few days with the knob in vertical position, the handle mechanism on the outside detaches. The sound is made, but the handle does not come alive with the code entered. In the months since I wrote this review, I have been locked out at least six more times. The outside lock handle of the Schlage isn't mechanically held in a state of operation because of a flaw in the design. In order for the mechanism to stay in the operational state once the inside knob has been turned to the unlock position, friction must be relied on. The product could have been good if they had built a solid mechanism holding the inside turn knob when turned.

The opportunity to get a bluetooth-enabled handset presented itself to me, and I thought maybe you could too There are compatible locks that you may be able to use
5/5

There is a problem with it. *If you're reading this, you ought to know what that means. Here's what happened after A new one was installed. It appears to be something inside the lock's hardware the second time. The number of times I have to break into my house is too high. What I would like to find is an alternative to Schlage, anything that is not manufactured

The original review can be seen I'm sorry. The 10-day period following the 10-day period I tried to repair it a few times, but it was not working, so I decided to replace it. As a self-employed individual, I am looking for job opportunities I'm an admitted nerd, so this might be an excellent opportunity to get my hands on a bluetooth-enabled device We could unlock our smartphones with a lock that was compatible. Depending on my analysis, that would be more hassle than it is worth. After some research and a quick cost-benefit analysis, I decided it wouldn't be worth it at least today. In the end, I found the Schlange lock after further research on keypad locks. These are some of the features I like A key is not needed in this lock because it is completely keyless. The two can't be either/or, or both at the same time We will key this lock to match the existing locks on your house, since the lock cannot be accessed with a key. It is very easy to program a wide range of keys This is code. For example, you could make use of an easy-to-use tool You might want to remember the combination that you use for other places An example of a house code would be You are taking a vacation and your cleaner is coming to clean while you are away. The battery is supposed to last for a long time, and it will alert you when it runs Nonetheless, if you ever find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing a new battery, there are two cleverly concealed ports on the front of the lock that enable you to power up the lock with another 9-volt and get back on track. Batteries with a voltage of 12 volts. However, the duration of the "assist" light is too short to be appealing to me. There is a small LED that illuminates the keypad when you press a button, but the illumination is barely long enough for you to type a 4-digit number The code consists of five digits. Please read

All- This is one item I would buy again in a second, and will recommend it to.
