If you're referring to the size. It measures 6 inches by 3 1/2 inches.
Yes. The numerical keypad is illuminated when you press the Kwikset button.
Simply turn and open the door from the inside.
I'm going to say no because of the following reasons: It measures 4 inches from the center of the door knob hole to the top of the lock's outside.

They could make the fact that this is meant for indoor use a little clearer! It's for an outside door, which is what I bought it for. Because the door does not receive direct sunlight, I'm crossing my fingers that it will work in my situation. I'm completely satisfied with the mechanism because it's sturdy and well-finished, as well as the fact that it was simple to install and is working well so far. I only wish I'd known it was meant to be used indoors.
When this lock failed, I had to pay a lock smith $200 to gain access to my home. The engaging mechanism failed just three weeks after we installed it. This indicates that neither the keypad nor the key functioned correctly. It was loose, according to the lock smith. When I asked if it was our handyman's fault for not tightening it enough, the lock smith replied that this part was factory tightened. Kwikset did not appeal to him. As a result, my "cheap" lock has now cost me more than $250! BEWARE! WHAT YOU PAY FOR IS WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE!.
I would have given it four stars if I had been completely satisfied, BUT- Check out the images below:
1. The exterior set screw is located on the top, rather than the bottom. The keyway would be upside down if it could be turned 180 degrees.
2. The handles had to be installed in the opposite direction (as shown in the photos).
3. There are two sizes of set screws: exterior and interior.
4. The exterior set screw does not require an allen wrench. I had no choice but to make do with what I had on hand. br>Because I like the unit, I'm going to reorder it to see if the problems persist.
The instructions are correct, but the lock's appearance is deceiving. The set screw appears to be on top of the outside handle; however, it is tightened from the bottom. When the key is horizontal, follow the directions and insert your allen wrench (provided) into the bottom hole. The set screw that can be seen from the top will be tightened.
This item was purchased to replace a keyed entry handle on my garage door's interior. I have Schlage keyless deadbolts and Kwikset motorized keyless deadbolts on other doors in my house, but this is the first time I've used a product of this type. The installation was simple, and the product fit perfectly in the steel door; it also has a nice, slim profile. Programming was quick and easy, taking less than 30 seconds. I like that I can set it to automatically lock so that I can leave my house through the garage and not have to remember if I locked the door behind me when I get home, but that I can also set it to remain unlocked by simply flipping a deadbolt-like lever on the inside of the handleset if I am going in and out. It's also nice not to have to worry about lugging around a set of keys. My kids can easily operate the lock, so if they're playing outside and need to go inside for something, they can simply punch in the code and walk right in. I prefer the Kwikset versions of these electronic locks to the Schlage ones I've used because they can also be opened with a traditional key (my Schlage one requires a "jumpstart" with a 9volt battery if the battery dies).
It is easy to operate. So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly. We just finished installing this on the garage entry door a few weeks ago. Because we don't have a deadbolt, I can't say how or if it would work if you did. br>br>Instructions were simple and easy to understand. The first step is to gather information. Check that the door's dimensions match the lock's specifications. Ours was, and the installation went off without a hitch. br>br>The only criticism I have of the installation is that the small screw (optional) that prevents tampering with the lock is supposed to be installed after the lock has been screwed to the door. If you'd like to include it, you can do so here. We weren't able to do so - It appeared to require some additional effort. If you're using this for a short-term rental, a maintenance point of access, or any other situation where you need to keep the lock secure, there is a way to do so; it just takes an extra step to set up. br>br>It's incredibly simple to use the lock. It was simple to set up the code. It's wonderful to arrive home and not have to juggle everything you're carrying in order to get the key into the lock. It's even more convenient if you have a push-button car ignition and don't have your keys on you. br>br>I'm sure we'll appreciate it even more next summer when we're juggling jackets, bags, and other items. br>br>I'm sure we'll appreciate it even more next summer when we're juggling jackets, bags, and other items. When we mow the back yard, we lock the door, but now we won't have to remember the key. We're not going to be able to shut the door on ourselves. 😊.
This Kwikset Keyless Electronic Lever Lock was purchased to replace the Ultraloq BT that I had returned. The Kwikset Lock worked exactly as it was supposed to. The lock has a nice appearance. It was used to open the garage door that leads into the house. Installing it was a breeze. There is no way to control the lock with an app. You can, however, make it automatic. The keypad illuminates while you enter the code, allowing you to lock or pass.
