I can only say that the majority of furniture makers used the same key. After purchasing it, I discovered that the key for my Drop Lid Secretary Desk also worked in my Howard Miller Clock. I spent $90 on this purchase. I spent 00 on a new key from a clock repairman, and then discovered that the desk key worked. If you recall the shape of the old key, this one is shaped like a backward "L." I hope this helps. I recall how frustrating it was to have a clock but be unable to open the door to pull the chains to keep it running.

Our grandfather clock locks on the Ridgeway didn't fit. The item was returned and the money was refunded to the customer.
The key was a perfect fit once I found the sweet spot; I had to wiggle it a little, but it works. It keeps the mice out at night, the bugs out during the day, and the kids out when they come over. I'll add a large tassel so I don't lose it.
I needed a replacement key for a Pearl grandfather clock's door lock, so I ordered this one. The key did not fit in the lock at first. I decided to modify the key in order to make it fit my lock because it was relatively inexpensive. To get the key to fit over the lock pin, I first drilled out the barrel to a slightly larger diameter. Then I used a fine metal file to plan down both the front and back of the drop portion of the key. The key eventually worked in the lock, but the mechanism was stiff. The lock was removed and lubricated now that the door was open. Using the file, the edges of the key were beveled and rounded even more, resulting in a lock that operates smoothly and with little stress on the new key.
The original keys got mixed up in the shuffle and were lost. They were forgotten by no one. This alternative avoids a time-consuming and potentially futile search. The style and finish are also compatible, with the exception of the clock hardware's patina. The cost was reasonable enough to take a chance, and it paid off handsomely.
Because my grandmother misplaced the key to her Ridgeway clock, I purchased this. She was heartbroken and on the verge of tears! I despise seeing her in that state, so I reasoned, "There must be something on Amazon!" " And then there was this bad boy!" It was a perfect fit for her, and she was overjoyed!.
This purchase was a good buy. As expected, it functions properly. I just wish the price for a single key was a little lower, but after doing some research, I couldn't find it in a local store, so I guess having it delivered to the house makes it worth it.
My Sligh Dorset clock likes it just fine. You must ensure that it is inserted correctly and completely - It will not turn if you do not do so. For what it is, it is a little pricey, but people are selling them for much more.
This was the tool that worked on my clock door, which had a broken key stuck in the lock, after I tried EVERYTHING recommended!! I couldn't believe my eyes at the low price!! Thanks!!!!!!.
