A hobby of mine is building cabinets. The last thing I want to do is cheapen my work with hardware that does not meet my standards after spending money on materials and putting time and effort into it. I would not recommend these slides if you are going to slide the drawer into them. They are way too easily damaged. It is very easy for the stamped metal that holds the ball bearings to bend, and this basically ruins the slide. Out of 20 slides I purchased, three sets ended up being thrown away. There is a lot of precision that needs to be maintained (like within 1/16" max) in the alignment of drawers and slides as well as the overall distance between slides as compared to drawer widths. The slides can easily be damaged if there are too many slides, and bind up if there are too few. Furthermore, the amount of pulling force needed to overcome the self-closing springs when opening the drawers is excessive. My wife wasn't all that pleased with the drawers' feels. Lastly, the screws that were included with the slides are weak. Just a little bit of torque is all it takes for the heads to snap off. Rather than replacing them, I tossed all of them in a garbage can and bought better screws in bulk. In the end, after having to waste time and money on broken slides, paying for more screws, and not having all that much interest in how they feel, I cannot For the next project, I used Vogt Durislides and Knape They weren't self-closing, but the quality was a night and day difference, and the price was half as much as that of the self-closing version.

Since this Amazon seller had no reviews when I bought this 12" soft close drawer slide, I took a chance on it. These items were used to build some custom nightstands in cherry and walnut (with colored epoxy in between the two pieces of wood). It was cheap so I decided to give them a try, and so far I am pleased. This is a great product - I love it - These sliders appear very sturdy, and I would recommend watching some YouTube videos to learn how to install them (there is a trick to using only the screw holes in the metal Tab parts of the slides, which is beneficial if your drawers are not perfectly spaced between the sides of your It's probably just as well that I use regular slides in the future for this smaller furniture, though, since it takes a little extra effort to open. Having said that, if used on cabinets or heavier pieces of furniture it would work fine. A light tug on the drawer does not equal an open or close. The springs hold the drawer (which is why it is a "soft close) up. Hard close is the opposite of soft close. In terms of cabinets or heavier drawers, they would be a great choice, give them a whirl.

For the price, a pack of 5 is a good deal. This soft close chest features 5 drawers. It is perfect for 5 drawer chests. This is the first pair I have used and so far they appear as solid as any others I have As far as I can tell, everything is going well!.

As much as I would like to say this was an excellent buy, I cannot. The metal pieces on the sides of the rail bend when installed, and the bearings fall out as a result. For quite some time, I tried to find something decent for the price, I wanted to leave you a good review, but unfortunately there wasn't anything that I could recommend.

Went to open the final 2 and they fell to the garage floor. Purchased 5 pairs for a reasonable price. I tried to reinstall but was unsuccessful, so I threw them away. After disappointing at first, it was not long before great customer service turned my review from 4 stars A mile was gone beyond the call of duty.

They arrived damaged, with no screws, but four out of five pair are still Hitess reached out to me and is sending a new set at no cost. In my opinion, they are an upstanding company that cares about customer satisfaction and quality product delivery. As expected, the sliders are heavy duty, sturdy, and soft closing now that they have been installed.
