As long as drilling new holes isn't a problem for you. I took mine completely off the wood and hung it from the metal piece.
It depends on where you want to hang it; I purchased some 50lb drywall screw hangers because there was no stud where I wanted to hang it. That's all there was to it. I measured the spacing on the back of it where the hangers are.

Large! I wanted to cut it down, but there was no way for me to do so. However, you will only need to use a shorter towel in this case.

It arrived in a timely manner and was already put together. I did notice that the rope was a little frayed right out of the box, but I didn't mind because it was so cute. However, once I hung it up and covered it with a towel, the rope droops VERY low, forming a long oval (see photo), so it's not as cute when it's in use. I'm tempted to cut the rope and thread something else through the loop to hold my towel, but I'm not sure what that would be. I was torn between this product and one that had a metal ring as the loop. That appears to be the better option; however, when I remove the towel, this does appear to be a cute option.
They were just installed after I moved in. The rope came out of one side of the pipes not even one day after I started using it for my hand towels. What a squandering of funds. I really liked these, but I'm afraid I'll have to pay the price now that the return period has passed.
When it arrived, the rope mount was crooked, and the rope had come loose! I'm fortunate in that I have a husband who can fix almost anything, but I was so disgusted with it that I wanted to return it!.
The back hangers aren't evenly spaced. The one on the left is lower than the one on the right. It'll be difficult to get this on the wall at all. The iron piece in the middle is also crooked, which was another issue I had. It's skewed to the side. br>br>I was extremely dissatisfied with my purchase.
Hanging this piece is very simple. My only gripe is that when a towel is hung on it, the rope lengthens significantly. I'm using a very thin towel. Despite this, it continues to pull down quite a distance.
I really like it; it gives it the look I was going for, but the metal on the board is crooked, and the holes in the back for hanging are also crooked. My husband, on the other hand, was able to accommodate this and hang it. It is one of a kind.
This towel ring is of excellent quality, and I am extremely pleased with it! When you order something "wooden," you never know whether it will be a solid piece of wood or a cheap composite wood, which is basically a bunch of wood chips and shavings smashed together with sawdust and glue, then topped with pretty wood veneer to make it look good. This towel ring is well-made and simple to install, and it matches my rustic-themed decor perfectly! It is DEFINITELY something I would recommend!.
What a lovely towel holder! Very well-made! It looks great in my bathroom. It appeals to me.
