A lot of money was spent on gold bathroom fixtures from Moen, but none of them Definitely one of the worst purchases I have ever made! I have the gold towel bar on the left and the gold shower bar on the right in my picture. There are complete differences in color. This has upset me so much! There are also differences between the towel bar and the toilet paper holder, despite the fact that they claim to be the same collection, the towel bar is a tiny bar, and the toilet paper holder is a big, heavy piece.
Considering it's just a towel bar, there's not much to say, however, I would like to point out that it is quite easy to cut it down to the size you require with a hacksaw or similar instrument if you need it in a smaller size. Ends of the standoffs fit into the ends of the ends, so any jagged edges left by cutting them As far as I can tell, there are no quality issues I love how it looks and works. My only minor complaint is that the bar spins in the ends if you pull a towel off of it from one end (the Having the bar spin when you do this is very loud, and it is not a pleasant sound.
The towel bar I installed was easy to install like any towel bar I have ever installed. The designers did a great job of placing the tightening screw hole far enough away from the wall so that when you put the short end of the allen wrench in without hitting the wall, you get an accurate tightening. To make my towel bar 30" wide, I purchased a Moen 30" stand-alone towel bar. Thus, an unfolded bath towel can hang without bunching up. The supplied screw template could not be used with the wider bar, and I had to measure carefully to ensure the bar fitted correctly.
There are a couple of issues with these towel bars, including the bar being very thin and the connection having some play like some of the other reviews. The screws can be tightened most of the time to eliminate the problem, but that doesn't make them any more solid. It looks great and modern as long as you can get over the thinness of the bar.
It looks fantastic in our bathroom, the finish is perfect! The manual comes with a template that guides you through the installation process. The hardware is pretty good quality, and is easy to set up.
This is a nice style, however it is very light and totally useless. It surprised me that Moen manufactured such a cheap product. The rail is about half an inch in thickness, and it is Despite the junk my builder installed in my home, however, it was better than what MOEN provided. A towel bar like this is way overpriced, and we are returning it.
Would have liked a little more width on this bar- Towels are a little short to be hung on standard hooks.
