Questions & Answers

In order to prepare a well-written text, I need It is a fine-grained oak which can be painted. Filling holes and taking care of details may be best handled by brushing on. Do you think you can brush on this?

Yes, you can use this product for grain filling. It should be applied with a brush or puddy knife after it has been diluted with water. The tack cloth should be used when the sand is dry The prime and the secondary market You can paint, stain or varnish the fence It is sealed. My team and I use this almost daily and it is amazing. The sands dry quickly, are easy to work with, and never go In case of freezing, reheat it in the microwave, and if it is dry, add water and rehydrate Add a little spice to it. It can be combined with oil or latex paint to fill nail holes or stain oil or latex oil. I would consider this to be my favorite woodfiller. There is some sort of 4lb container on Amazon, I haven't seen it yet, but I found a question & answer about it Dats are those who say different from what is true. I love it. Making money out of this is my job.

Would you recommend it as a prep for painting with advanced paint on kitchen cabinets?

Paint your cabinets only if you plan on painting them. If the cabinets are going to be stained or have a natural finish, I would not recommend it

The smell will go away after awhile, but how long will it take?

Usually, I use this filler to repair nail holes and screw holes in wood, as well as the most minor scratches, dents and dings. If you use them, the filler will eventually dry out and the smell will disappear. It takes a couple of hours for small repairs to dry. (Deeper repairs take an entire day)

I'm refinishing my kitchen cabinets (a TREMENDOUS undertaking!) and this product is just what I needed! Before painting the cabinets, I wanted to fill in the grain to make them look more polished
5/5

To test the product for use in the kitchen, I used it on my vanity. The product claims to be simple to use and easy to sand. Use an oil-based primer and Benjamin Moore Advance paint and then a General Finishes topcoat to cover well. Even for someone like me who is just getting started, it's still a great result! It looks to me like a professional design!.

You can fill grains with this! The software is easy Be cautious when you smell it
4/5

The pros are The following - In a separate container, mix this and water, and when the mixture has the consistency of toothpaste, brush it on the wood or furniture you are working with and scrape off the The process is super simple! The following - You will not waste anything. You can reuse excess and thus won't waste. The following - Despite its small size, this pot of goodness packs a punch! There is only a little to be needed. The following - I really like how quick-drying it is and how smoothly it sands! PERSONAL CONS The following - I hate it! Due to my clumsy handling, I don't have gloves on and the smell permeates It doesn't matter how many times I wash my hands and how often I take a shower, the smell of my hands persists. In filling the scratches and dents on the side table, it made a significant difference. The grains are filled out. An old side table looks brand new despite being 15 years old!.

You should buy this stuff if you're a guitar builder! My wife and I are guitar builders, we have been using another brand from one of the main luthier supply houses
5/5

In no way can the two products be compared. Grain filler is also a water-soluble material As a result. I have never seen this stuff in grain before, but it has a syrupy (best way I can describe it) consistency when you water it down and it fills the grain far used this stuff with just two applications on a body of ash and got a glassy finish in only a few minutes. I would have taken 3 or more of the other material for the same job. Also, this material really stains well, I love it. It's the best grain filler that you can find if you are looking for a first class product. The price is a bit more than the luthier's supply shop, but there are twice as many products. It's also not necessary to buy as much as you would otherwise.

It's ick

There's nothing good about this stuff. Sure, that's no problem. In the event that there are scratches or holes deeper in the wood, you will need to put layer upon layer upon layer. There were some deep scratches and gouges on my arm from big dogs trying to get the In the beginning, the smell is like a bandaid, but somehow it permeates the whole house and becomes nauseating over time. About six layers later, I had made very little progress over seven to eight days, until I It takes way too much time to do that. I went to the Depot this morning and picked up My second and final pair of shoes are about to be put on Then sand and finish by applying one more coat of that A weekend should have been enough to complete this project. I am looking forward to being done with it. I gave TimberMate every effort to work and gave it my all. The price in the U. S. is cheaper than TimberMate. Sorry Mates, but I think you can find cheaper products here. There are plenty of alternatives in the market that smell better, work faster, and do all the things you claim they will. I would be willing to give up the eternal shelf life, but the eternal shelf life is the only concession I cannot resist.

I have never experienced anything like this
3/5

There is a semi-powder version of this Hunk of junk, dry as a bone. To use it, you need to mix a little water with it. There are a lot of errors If it mixes at all, then the mix needs to be very vigorous. The oil in my car is the worst A primer based on a solvent lifted some of it right off the wood after 24 hours like the primer never adhered to the Getting the cabinet face painted will require me to redo the whole thing. Filling grain with Wunderfil is the best option, but it is shipped by Rockler, which does not understand that Amazon has set the new standard The shipping/delivery system at Rockler is sort of old school. The only product that works well, without mixing, and that I will be 100% satisfied with is We wonderfur.

You have great stuff here
5/5

We are huge fans of When I watered it down to make pudding, it tasted really good This filler gave me the consistency I wanted to fill the grain in my oak cabinets from the 1980s. In comparison to spackle, it dries harder, but sands a bit more similar Using it as grain filler, I then primed it two times with Zinsser Bin primer, and then sprayed on an insl- A cabinet coat of paint called X Cabinet Coat. If you were to look at me, you would never notice the oak grain. Also, I used the timbermate to fill in holes and dings in the laminate sides of my cabinets and it worked great in those places as well. There is a bad smell to it, but there are no chemicals listed in the ingredients Because the smell wasn't as offensive to me, I could tolerate it.

You can use it! I have used Timbermate for over 20 years and it's the best filler I've Adding a little water will bring it back to life if it becomes dry
5/5

Having colored the putty ahead of filling holes is a good idea. Paint the color of my wall, color with food coloring, and add instant coffee granules to help me with this. It takes patience and play around with the color if you are using it on stained wood, but it turns out beautifully. There have been other reviews about this smell and I have smelled worse things plumbers putty, for instance, stinks bad. Timbermate is a great choice if you need a smooth surface.

I have tried several wood fillers, but this one was the best
5/5

There is a great deal of consistency here. There is no graininess in this filler and its malleability makes it perfect for repairs to plywood I was able to scratch very well out of the leather. It dries quickly as well. Only thing preventing me from getting a good color match is my lack of knowledge about how to do it. You would benefit from getting several shades of this product so you can mix them to obtain the proper color match if you do a lot of woodworking. There will be no difference if your plan is to paint the project. It is a little more expensive, but it is worth it to my estimation.
