Generally, I use it on my playset to fill holes caused by bees and then sand, stain over it.
In my experience, white oak does not work well with it. As a rule, I stain pine or poplar before finishing them with my finishing products. I believe it would adhere and match pine well even after staining. However, I'm not sure about how the finish would look on white oak. There will be an obvious difference to you, but the filler will probably escape others' notice.
You can dry it and it's waterproof. Compounds like this can be made out of plastic. Depending on the size and depth of the area to be treated, the drying time can range from 2 to 36 hours. It's crucial to clean up any excess with a damp cloth right away to prevent it from drying. Sanding it is not a possibility since it is as hard as

In an old wood floor, this was used to fix a splintering area as it was cheaper than replacing the floor entirely. It was only a small disappointment to have not been able to order additional colors via Amazon because the tube I used is rather pale tan compared to the old wood color. But the problem of the splinters was fixed, and the surface could be easily sanded once it had set. The throw rug would also conceal any stains, even if they were on the floor.
My old dresser that I am flipping has some concave features, so I used this to fill them in. My only complaint is that a little doesn't go a long way. I wish it spread easily and dried quickly. There was no way that one tube could even cover two small areas on the drawers. As you can see, the concave features are relatively thin (roughly equivalent to a McDonald's straw in thickness). As a result, I ended up having to buy two more tubes to finish two extra Besides Platinum Patch, which I adore (and also seen on the photo) there is Platinum Patch by DAP. We are crossing our fingers that two more tube will suffice.
Having to apply as much pressure as possible to a drop out, it was very difficult to get this material out of the tube. I bought the same thing at the hardware store. Was a dream that came true and is still a dream. That's all I have to say about.
The tube seems easier to use than a jar, but in fact, the tube is much more difficult. In order to get any liquid out of the tube, I had to squeeze incredibly hard. Despite this, I ended up cutting the tube open and putting the material in a jar.
The material dries quickly. It is easy to clean. There is not much elastomer in wood, but that is characteristic of it's structure- In order to avoid cracking with fill products, I apply two or three thin coats instead of one thick coat. My fence boards looked brand new after treating the knots, cracks, and scuffs with this product, so I bought several more tubes to finish.
I like how easy it is to apply, how quickly it dries and how well it sands. The stain takes well to the material and it blends well with the original material. When finished, a flaw that was repaired using this product does not appear at all after a couple of coats.
It is really difficult to get it out of the tube, even if I like it. It caused my fingers to cramp after a while. I'd prefer buying it in a different container if I bought it again. As far as sealing and drying is concerned, it performs well.
One of our engineered hardwood floors had a couple of seams that had separated. By filling those spaces and blending into the natural maple finish, this product did a nice job. A small putty tool and a wet cloth are all that is needed to apply this product.
