This small meter has been around for a long time, but it has only recently become popular for "ghost hunting" expeditions. No, they don't, but I did pick up a cheap piezo buzzer from Radio Shack. a chrome toggle switch I soldered it onto the board for sound, it's not the best buzzer, but it gets the job done, and I recently re-wired it. Because we prefer the Mel Meter with built-in shadow detector, we sold two of these on eBay. After using all three for years, we decided to sell the k-meter in favor of the less expensive Ghost Meter. 2 It only became famous because it was used on television, but the Ghost meter has a pleasant sound. It looks good, not the Pro version of Ghost Meter, which they ruined, but just the plain old Ghost Meter; if you have the money, spend $100 on the Mel Meter; if you have more, get it with the shadow detector built in; it's great;

As a result, I chose one to add to my EMF collection. It was discovered that if it was tilted at certain angles or tapped, it would set off the alarm. Angles caused the sensor to go off as if it was picking up something, but changing the angle caused it to stop. It could also be activated by tapping it. As a result, we assumed it was defective and returned it to get a replacement. When the new one arrived, it did exactly what the previous one had done.

The second advantage of the EMF Meter is that it is manufactured in the United States. Plus, despite all the positive reviews I've read about your product, I have yet to use it because I'm new to ghost hunting and need to learn everything I can about your products before going out and having fun.
The product did not work at a Ghost Haunt where I was. Others who were using the same item and others similar to it were having success, but I was right next to them and nothing was working. I even placed it right next to electrical outlets, but it didn't work. I even changed the batteries, but it didn't help.
I've been having a lot of fun with it so far. The first thing I did was check to see how much EMF was coming from each of my appliances, and I was astounded by the nuclear bomb-like readings coming from my microwave oven! According to the little bit of Internet research I've done, there's some concern about people exposed to high levels of EMF developing forgetfulness, among other things. During the previous 11 years, I've been a little more forgetful than I'd like to be in recent years, and with all the EMF I've been getting from the microwave - No less, placed at head height on the fridge! I'm pretty sure I got a big dose because I spent a lot of time in my apartment's tiny kitchen. All the while, I was thinking that my nice [excuse me, I can't remember the brand/model, brb] Sharp Carousel microwave was probably a well-designed and manufactured oven, and thus safe. Wrong! br>br>I now press the Start button and run as fast as I can away from the thing, and YOU should do the same when you use yours!br>br>Last night I decided to listen to some radio shows in my bedroom and thought it would be cool to have my K-mart with me. 2 taped to the door so I could keep an eye on it while watching television. Needless to say, I was taken aback the three or so times the thing lit up like a Christmas tree, and I was curious as to what entity had chosen to pay me a visit. It's a little creepy, but it's also a lot of fun! br>br>One final point. I heard that these units can be used outside even when it's raining. It's not a good idea to do that! These units are in excellent condition. If you must use it in the rain, there is a space going around the on/off switch that has PLENTY of room for drops of water to fall on the [I forget what it's called] electronic board inside, so maybe put it in a baggie and use it that way. br>br>These are entertaining, and I'd like to purchase more so that I can tape one to each door to get a sense of how many unseen visitors I'm receiving. It's a little disturbing.
