Questions & Answers

The lights have not come back on since I placed the device into the kitchen socket, pressed the button, and now there is no power coming back to the three outlets in the kitchen?

It looks like you tripped a GFCI. A gfci should be installed on the outlets in your kitchen. Testing the function of gfci is the purpose of the button.

What happens if you press the gfci test button and the gfci decides to RIPS?

When the gfi is functioning properly, this will cause it to trip.

Do you think this will work overseas on 220v outlets?

Plugs into standard 120v receptacles &amp can be used for large loads There is a GFCI container in every U.S. house. A 220v European power outlet is not compatible with this product.

Is there a way to use this method to check whether the circuit breaker is ?

When the circuit breaker is turned off, none of the LEDs will light up. Getting an outlet check done with this method will confirm that the outlet has no power, but does not confirm that it's wired correctly.

It is a simple, accurate tool that everyone should have in their electrical kits
5/5

There were a few dead satellites in my house that I seldom use and I needed to test them and this worked perfectly. You should be able to trip your GFI if everything goes well. Using this method is more convenient and quicker than using the test leads of.

The simplicity of it can't be beat
5/5

When I self-test my GFIC outlets, I receive an error light and I am unsure if they are still working. Then I went to the store and bought a tester before deciding to replace all of my gfic outlets. doing some research, I stumbled upon this one that would test if you have GFIC issues and it would also tell you if your wiring was problematic. My GFIC outlet is broken and I do not know how to diagnose a wiring problem. This will help me identify the problem when I replace it. In just a few minutes, you'll be enjoying multiple benefits from a very small investment. Its use by anyone is free and open to everyone You no longer have to guess what's wrong with the tester because it tells you what it is.

It's a nice tester, but there's an even better one
5/5

However, the tester does not perform as described. It works well and is compact, but not quite as advertised. My opinion is that there's a better model out there. There is another model that does all the same things but indicates what the voltage at the outlet is. The electrical service in an RV park can be properly wired, but the voltage can be low. damage our 120 volt equipment (air conditioners, microwaves, induction cooktops, etc ) The Attached picture shows both Because I only need a single voltage display tester to test the electrical system of the RV park, I prefer the voltage display model.

Purchased this and was very satisfied
5/5

A new house has been purchased for me. In a YouTube video, there is a demonstration of how to check if an outlet is working. Here is the tester that the guy had. As soon as I saw it, I bought it. He rechecked my work (of course that is what happened when I called the electrician). A larger version was available and a comparison was made. It was his pleasure to see that I had purchased the item. Compared this test to others and said it.

I'm glad I made the purchase
5/5

There was an issue with my GFCI outlet in the bathroom. In my case, the white wire was open when I connected it to the plug. As soon as I opened the GFCI plug, I saw that it was connected to the white wire. The white and black wires were tested with a tester and found to be live. I ordered a new GFCI plug and installed it, and it has worked fine since then. I recommend this product to others.

Money was saved in spades
5/5

After being without electricity for a month, I was almost forced to call an electrician to replace an cgfi outlet in a bathroom. Wires were in the correct locations, except for one wire that was loose in the stab area, despite having been seated tightly there. REMOVE THE stab areas from your game. Utilize the screw areas by taking the extra time.

This is a user-friendly and easy to read website
5/5

We had no problems using it. Simply plug in the outlet and see what happens. Thanks to this Bow, I know that I have some outlets that are open to ground. You have the description of the different "light codes" right on the device itself, so it's easy to read. In case you want to check if there is anything wrong with your outlets, I recommend you do this.
