Questions & Answers
There is no soldering involved. A crimping process is used to secure them to the wire leads, a process that has been shown to withstand long-term use.
There is no magnetism in the case, but it makes sense since the leads wind up into it.
This is a Chinese product
You may need 3 test leads from time to time. Whatever you are working on, it just depends on how it goes.

It is amazing how much value you can get from these retractable test leads. They were actually larger than I expected, so they are not easily stored in my toolbox, but they still make me feel so much better about my job in terms of how much time and frustration can be saved. Despite the housing being made from plastic, it seems pretty sturdy and this little tool makes it a lot easier to run down electrical problems and perform continuity checks. I only wish I'd purchased this tool I would like to point out that this is not an automatic rewind, since you actually have to spin part of the housing to retract the wires into the housing, which is great because I don't have to worry about some retractable bands breaking. The only thing I need to do is tape the plastic sleeve or covering that goes over the alligator clips. In case of a mishap, the plastic sleeve on the alligator clip can slip off and cause a short, or you can get a false reading on your electrical equipment.
It took about 5 minutes to separate the wires that were inside, since they were tangled Give them 10 minutes to untangle and work at them gently. It was then that I was able to wind and unwind numerous times without any problems. If they ever get twisted again, you may want to remove the rivet holding them together and install a bolt so you can access the inside. So, I guess I am For that, I would give it one star. The 18 gauge wires I need for my application don't need three wires. However, I still need to check to make sure they The copper wire was measured with an accurate caliper after the green wire was removed, cut open, and the copper cut out. There is no doubt that the wires are fully copper and will actually be even thicker than 18 gauge, so they are superior in every aspect. I give it a +1 for being a quality product that does exactly what it is advertised to do. Would it be okay to give it an extra star for being As a thank you to the person who gave a one-time donation The device received a one-star rating after it was used to "power a motorcycle battery" in a "18v environment" and overheated in as few as two seconds. Are you serious? not about the voltage, but about the amps. It is possible for a motorcycle battery to deliver 300 amps. If it had long since died, it could still import or export more than what it did before It can handle a maximum of 8 amps using a 18gauge wire. If you take a look inside any legitimate car charger, you'll see they have wires that are a lot thicker than 18 gauge wiring. In car chargers with "thin" wires, like the ones that go from the cigarette lighter to the lighter, the current will be limited in order to prevent the wires from being burned. The wires overheated immediately when two batteries were directly connected to one another because too much current was flowing through them. If you pumped 8 amps through the wire, you clearly did more than you were supposed to. Do some research before giving a seller one-star rating 5. 0 out of 5 stars! These are perfect test leads that can be used for various purposes, including automotive. Just be sure to note that the current limit for 18 gauge wire is . The diameter, including insulation, is . You can either go with "1" or "2" You should not press down on the calipers when measuring the 54mm (this will prevent the wire from getting distorted). The diameter of the copper inside is You can either write "05" or "1" As it is 27mm, this would be a 16 gauge wire. The thickness of insulation would then be dependant on the gauge. The file size is "025" A score of. 025+. I am 5+. This equals 0. 25. 1. The "1"). I will conclude with a last As I cut the wire open longways and measured the thickness of the insulation, I came to the following conclusions The actual wire diameter would be . 03", which would actually imply The "04" It is 2003+. 04 and up. 01 = 0. According to the advertisement, it is at least 18 gauge. You're going to have a great time! Good luck!.
It has been my experience that I typically test with only three wires most of the time. When completed, you can easily retract them back into their original length. The leads stay together and easily recoil after they are retracted.
This type of test lead is convenient to use. Test leads can easily be stored with the retractable testers. No matter what type of cord I have to untangle, I absolutely cannot stand it. As well, in real life, the product is much larger than it appears in Thank you for my purchase. I'm very pleased with it.
All wires and clips appear to be in good condition. On the first day, the retractable spool broke shortly after I spooled it again for the fifth time. When it got stuck inside, instead of breaking the black plastic spool I just gave up and broke the spool open after attempting to free it for ten minutes. There are no problems with the wires, and the clips work The four cables have now been reduced to three, but it's fine.
As soon as it was used in an 18V environment, it was destroyed. We used it to supply power to a motorcycle battery, but both connecting leads were ripped away in just a few seconds after overheating. After the leads were pulled apart, plastic residue was found causing problems with connection, including undue resistance and poor contact, which is why the gator clips crimped to the leads became too hot and subsequently slipped off.
I use it to diagnose small passenger cars but I'm unable to use it on large trucks and SUVs depending on what I'm An example would be the suspension control circuit testing circuit.
As an armored truck mechanic, I use this item everyday, as they have an astronomical number of electrical problems. It is indispensable for diagnosing any the problems that occur.
