As far as I can tell, the seller didn't give the Unlike turning it off, you can only manually turn it on. The manual states that it turns off automatically after a set period of time. In this case, you will have to manually turn on the light since it can't detect you and you will end up in the dark when you turn on the light.
It is possible to turn the TDHOS5 off manually and keep it off until it is manually turned on again when the fan button is pressed.
Although I may have misinterpreted the previous question, it seems that the previous answer may not be totally correct. Having only one "line" going to both the light and the fan, you would have to connect the light switch to the fan switch and the light switch to the fan In this case, both the light and the fan would carry out the same function The two can be either on or Connect the fan and light to the light switch to turn on and off the fan and light when a motion detector is triggered. Connecting the fan and light to the fan switch leads to turning the fan and light on and off when the humidity level rises. said, if the fan were connected that way, it might be too large a load (current draw) for the light switch. The answer to that is not clear to me. I have a small night light on my fan so, if either turns on based on humidity, it is no big deal. However, I would not want my main bathroom light to illuminate
In this case, yes, you can wire both loads to the fan, so you can use it for motion and humidity sensors. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. I wish you best of luck from TopGreener,

Make sure you turn on your fan when you get out of the shower. We have been using this little gadget with no problems. It has not been necessary for me to "GENTLY" remind anyone to turn on the fan. It does not matter if the lights are on or off. Having the automated light was a nice touch, and it is also much appreciated! It is said to act up on you if you purchase it. Make sure you remember that the threshold can be adjusted. In addition. For the fan to get back into automatic mode if it is ever manually turned off, you must 'tell it'. Once it's been turned off for 30 minutes, turn it back on and let it run until it's finished. This will then result in the system going back into "Auto" The first time I saw one of these, I wanted one WAY back then!.
The installation was very simple and the product worked perfectly. I would only change the behavior if somebody presses the fan button to off before the switch automatically shuts it off, and it will no longer detect it. If you want it to detect again, you have to leave it running on purpose for 30 minutes. However, it works just fine without any issues.
Because of this, I have disconnected the fan wire and simply use the LED light to run the fan. have capped off the FAN wiring so it will not be.
My hand does not need to touch it to turn on or off the light. The fan also turns on and off for me when I use it.
The program does not work properly. Having taken the time to install and wire this switch now makes me regret it. In addition to the occupancy sensor, this switch incorporates a humidity sensor as well. All in all, the occupancy sensor appears to work okay. There is only one complaint I have it can only be set for 10 minutes at a time. It has an extremely sensitive sensor and can detect the movement of the curtain when showering, so you don't run out of light in the middle of the In any event, 10 minutes is way too long to leave a light on without anyone there to use it. It would be best if we had five minutes. It would have also been great if there was a daylight sensor as well, to prevent the light being activated in I now use occupancy sensors instead of this switch, a feature Lutron was offering. I installed them throughout my entire home. In addition to this switch being active from an open door in my bedroom, which is on the other side of the master bathroom where it is installed, the switch might also be active when I opened the door to my bedroom. I do not recommend it. The bathroom is a short trip away so I have to go back to turn off the light or wait for 10 minutes with it on while I go to bed. It was because there is a humidity sensor integrated into the switch as well as an occupancy sensor that I bought this switch. Bathroom has fewer switches than other rooms of the house. The ground is about 5 feet below the surface). A humidistat could not detect any humidity during hot showers of 30 minutes (all doors and windows were It is not possible to deactivate the humidity sensor without checking) In regards to the switch, I have given up on it, and yes, I am aware of the fact that if you hold down the light icon to activate the settings, then press the light icon twice, pause and My home is in an upscale neighborhood The humidity in Florida was very low and this switch had a hard time sensing it. As far as I know, you cannot activate it with a breath test (breathing over the sensor), so I'm not clear what the deal is with this fickle There's no doubt humidity sensors haven't reached the end of their useful lives. In this case, I was only interested in it because of the rating, but I'm not sure if it's accurate. My plan was to route wiring and install an exhaust fan entirely around this switch, but it didn't work out. As someone else has already said, I was wondering how this switch could As dumbfounded as you are, I'm unable to access it After installing a Lurtron timer switch, which works flawlessly so far, I installed a second one. My worst enemies would be the only ones I would recommend this switch to. It's possible that the humidity sensor won't work out for you but Lutron makes a decent timer switch that would work (refer to There are a number of occupancy sensors available (ref. photo) that are reasonably priced This sentence has been changed Option 2).
It was easy to install, easy to setup, and works great. I have a location that I could not put two switches in but I wanted to control a light and a fan, and the humidity sensor and timer work well.
The switch I have is wonderful. Thanks a lot!.
It was a little concerning to me that this would not fit into our crazy old wiring outlet, but with a little elbow grease, it all worked out. There was a small problem with the Low / Medium / High sensor settings for humidity It could have 4 or 5 settings, we find that the lowest setting comes on more than it needs to, and the medium setting comes on too quickly but it also has a timer function for both fans and lights, which work together, and.
