After spending days researching smart lighting products that would work seamlessly with my Lutron dimmer switches, hub, Alexa, and Echo, I ended up choosing Hubbell Wireless Smart Dimmer. What's the reason? We wanted a variety of operating options in our den/TV room, where our recliners are next to each other. If the WiFi is out, the Lutron dimmer switches control the lights (the Pico remote can do the job, too). Having each light wired separately was a good idea. As a result, we had each light set to its own Lutron Dimmer, so we were able to control each light independently instead of being limited to one level for both. It was definitely more expensive, but the flexibility and range of light we were seeking were gained nonetheless. He has the reading light level set, I have the dim setting, so it works just fine! Ceilings suspended from the ceilings are perfect for this product. This fixture is as thick as a ceiling tile. Installation is easy. As a matter of fact, I installed 14. It's sunny and light outside. The amount of lighting in the room can be controlled by dimmers. Any one looking for recessed lighting should definitely make use of them.

I'm thankful my husband has electrical knowledge, so we were able to install these in only a couple hours thanks to his skills! The lights themselves were easy to install as well. Lights that I am in love with! The low profile makes them suitable for ceiling installation, so even if there is a 2x4 running across where you want the light to be installed, it can still be installed. You can connect the electrical boxes with quick push-on connectors without using wire nuts. The blue plastic clip at the end of the mounting spring may pop off if you are not careful when you are mounting All I had to do was push it on again. The lighting is excellent and the dimming feature is also available. It took me about four hours to install 10 of them in my big kitchen. We are so happy to get rid of the two large fluorescents and replace them with beautiful recessed lights that emit a beautiful 3500k light at approximately $10 each. I think it's incredible that it costs that much per light!.

My 1964 brick ranch has 16 of them so far, but they are poorly lit. It is amazing how much difference there is! If you purchase a hole saw 4 1/8 inches wide, you will have an easier time. They are awesome because you can install them anywhere and you won't have to worry about hitting a joist or a truss when installing them. It is the 3000k color that I like best White light that is not yellow like 2700 soft white, nor is it obnoxious white light like In addition to the 12 that I just ordered, I also have some for future projects outside and in the eaves of our house.

I really like the finish on them. As I don't have a hole saw large enough to cut those holes, I used a jig saw. Since they come with stencils, I can easily cut those shapes out. When I needed to exchange some lights because the 4K lights turned out to be too white for me, the vendor was super easy to work with. This light set is placed under a covered patio that measures 14 feet by 10 feet. Though I used four, I believe the space would have been better served with six. The light put out by the 9 ft ceilings was good, but I would have liked it to be Fastening the wires with the quick connect wire clips makes installing this a breeze, and fitting everything into the provided junction box is well worth the effort.

Adding it to your computer is easy. A template is provided to draw an outline on the ceiling, then you can simply cut it out using a drywall saw or whatever tools you have on hand. Then you can install the wires if any are needed (that is the hard part if you are installing manually and wiring). the wires are all lined up and fitted, just plug in the 14 ga wiring in the corresponding colors (black = power, white = neutral, green = ground) using the plug and play taps, close the metal box, and plug in the lights. There is an even distribution of color in the circle and the lights are bright. As opposed to a can light, using this recessed lighting is so much easier. If the clearance between the can and the rim is limited, these can be useful. Having installed these light fixtures for my parents who had the old halogen bulbs, I was able to explain the process to them and it was relatively simple If you choose to wire it, either find the power line from an existing light (most ceiling lights have a box) or add a new one if you are a good DYI-er. Then connect it daisy-chain style. It is recommended to connect one light to the main electricity with a light switch, and then connect wires from light #1 to #2 and #2 to #3, etc. I would suggest investing in a flexible auger bit if drilling through the floor joists is necessary. If you already have drywall on the ceiling, it will be very difficult to remove it without this tool.
