Dimming LED lights with an LED compatible dimmer is recommended. A Lutron Maestro dimmer was used with this combination and it worked perfectly.

Do you have any recommendations for installing in a location where a can light already exists?

You can take a picture of the area where there are cans if you would like to install them there. It is difficult for us to give you an accurate answer as we are not familiar with your home environment and we have not tried to install our canless lights in a can. These would've been 5 stars if I were to rate them. Easy to install and beautiful to look at, they are a great choice. As I was installing the last light, I found that one of the spring clips was defective. I sent an email to the company, using the email address on the card, asking if they would please send me one more bracket so the installation could be completed. It has been over two weeks and I have yet to hear back.

It is amazing how brilliant these lights are. With how thin and lightweight they are, they can go almost anywhere and the brightness is superb! It's hard to find a better deal than these guys for the price. They lit up my office closet space with smaller lights so I could accessorize that area with my desk and computer, but one 6 inch light would be enough to light up a whole house. All in all, a fantastic combination of quality and price. It is a great product! I recommend it to.

As of now, I can't say whether or not this product will last and be reliable. Although it is not a huge bulb, this light installed super easily and adds some overhead lighting to any To be able to select the light color to suit your tastes is a very cool idea. There is only one comment on that. If you have a house with 10 lights and you would like to change the color to something warmer, then you have to go up in the attic or wherever and toggle I'm not sure if there is a better way to do that. The majority of my purchases will be from now on.

It is simple to install and even simpler to wire. I simply cut a circle in the center of the ceiling tile and glued the disk-like bulb to the center. Screws are used to attach the box to the joists about one inch It is close enough that it doesn't have to be exactly close. I use the switches with a dimmer, it would be nice to have a lower setting, but it does work well.

The product is of outstanding quality and is a terrific As soon as it is pushed into the template hole, the low profile mount disappears into the black In the past, heavy cans and 6 inches of space above the ceiling were required. That's no longer the case. It's nice to have the quick connects as well. The wire nuts are no longer required, and there is much less room in the box because of this. For the price, it is a great looking and well designed product.

The lights are excellent and easy to install electrical box and light are separate so it fits easily into low clearance spaces the electrical box is thin and the light is large
