If you don't have an internet connection, I believe you won't be able to use Alexa to turn it on and off, but the device does have a button next to it that you can use to manually perform the functions.

I tried all of the different options, but they wouldn't connect, and the tiny, index card-sized instructions were useless, and I couldn't find any information online, so I returned them and ordered a different brand, which worked perfectly!.
They're not too big, and I needed to replace some old timers (though they're not as big as traditional timers). One thing to note is that I had trouble connecting to WiFi with this, which is why I docked a star. I had no trouble connecting with my Alexa/Echo account and setting up a timer for the lamp to turn on and off once I finally got it to register on the app via WiFi. A couple of other outlets were also added to turn off when not in use to save energy. I appreciate that, unlike older traditional timers, the timer does not need to be reset if the power goes out. Because smart plugs aren't cheap in general, I won't be outfitting my entire house with them, but I will buy more for specific electrical items I'd like to be able to turn on/off, especially when traveling.
It was well worth the money. Friends have told me how cool smart plugs are. It was only a matter of time before I found out for myself. When my husband returns home from work, he is exhausted, so I decided to buy these to make his life a little easier. br>It was fairly simple to set them up. I was able to complete the task entirely on my own and with ease. (I am not at all tech savvy)br>I had to reset the network and turn off all of the devices I wanted to connect for 15 minutes. Everything worked perfectly after I switched everything on at the same time. br>I used one of these to turn on his bedroom fan. It's so convenient to turn off the TV and then ask Alexa to turn on THE FAN! br>He can't get enough of the white noise from the fan. But not for me, so after he falls asleep, I can tell the fan to turn off without getting out of bed. It can also be used to ask Alexa to turn off the floor lamp, which he always forgets to do once he's in bed. There are a plethora of advantages to choose from. I intend to place more orders! For such a great gadget, the price is incredible! It comes highly recommended.
Three of the four units on my network have been configured so far. This is the maker's second order of these, and they work perfectly. Although this is a different design than the first batch, it works just as well. If you're a first-time user of this product (specifically Maker), keep in mind that you'll need to register on their website before you can use it with Alexa.
I adore these because I no longer have to fumble around the house late at night trying to turn on lamps. Even if my hands are full when I get home, it's nice to just ask to turn on. I use it through my Google Assistant and it's very easy to set up. Did I mention I absolutely love this product? I'm also ordering a set for my brother who has MS and is bedridden, giving him a little more independence by not having to ask to turn on/off lamps.
I was under the impression that this device could be directly connected to Alexa. However, in order to connect Alexa, Google Home, and other devices, you must first install the Smart Life app; EZ mode is not supported. You'll need to use AP mode to connect to the plug. I've already squandered a lot of time trying to figure this out.
I didn't have to get up every time I wanted to turn something off, as I usually do. In a variety of ways, they're extremely beneficial. I ended up putting two in my room and two in the rooms of my children. You can also use the app to set a timer to turn off the lights at a specific time. Installing and using it is a breeze. In addition, the price is very reasonable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
If you squint through the infinitesimal (generous) instruction print, it might be Alexa compatible. However, after 20 minutes of frustration, I was unable to confirm this. As a result, we came to the conclusion that this was a classic case of penny wise and pound foolish. Will return to place an order for an Alexa plug that pairs automatically.
