The cover might not pop back up if the screws are tightened. If you have already installed the cover, try loosening the screws and then pop it up. It is quite difficult to open the cover the first time. If the plate still won't open, remove the front cover from its back side by pushing it in. Leave the front cover open and push it in again. Four screws need to be installed to hold the plate in place. TIGHTEN the four screws only to the recommended tightness. If the cover is open, close it and restart You can open it now. It might be a broken, bent or defective catch that causes the cover to not close or to close without being able to be opened.
