We had some careless contractors damage the original cover. Since I couldn't find it locally, I ordered this one online because the measurements were similar and it looked similar. As it turned out, I just had to replace it. It is common for houses built in Texas in the last 5 years to have an outdoor electrical outlet cover. It might be a good fit if yours looks similar and the measurements are close.

Although these are well made and sturdy, you should be careful when stretching any plastic over objects to prevent it from cracking. Because the pin on one side of this item has to be tightly grasped to slip over the second pin that holds it in place, we decided to lay them in the sun prior to installation so they would not become damaged.

Keeping out the elements would not make this a simple install since they are supposed to fit snug to prevent leaks. My first two were as expected, but the final one was so difficult I was worried that I would break it while trying to put it on the "pegs" holding it down. We are thankful that it did not break and When I managed to get it on, I had no problem (mind you, I am a reasonably strong female * so I am sure it would have been easier for my BF * but I try not to bother him with such trivial matters).

I love it!. My house has type 3R electrical outlet covers, so if you have the same as me. You will need to replace these parts. The originals were a little more durable, but these are marginally more sturdy. The fit is fantastic, the quality is excellent, and the style is attractive. The cost of these is a little high, but they should last for.

Those who have our outside 1 Gang Cover will be perfectly satisfied with this cover. It was in need of replacement. A careful click was all it took to install it. It swings easily, and it was easy to assemble. Your posts must be in good order for this to work. Cover is meant to cover outlets that do not have outlet plugs, but you are still interested in placing a cover over them since it has holes on the bottom for cords to hang from. The gray and translucent cover of this book is a nice shade of smokey dark gray. Protecting the outlet from the elements of the outside atmosphere is easier with the cover. The perfect fit for what I wanted. I was thrilled to discover this item on Amazon since the hardware stores didn't even know what I was talking about. It is very kind of you to do that. The cover appears to be very sturdy and even better than the original cover that came with the house. The color was exactly what we wanted. Considering the three-pack for prime members, I suppose it worked out to be a good value they seem to be a bit expensive, but as a prime member I guess they were a good value. After being exposed to the weather for a while, these covers are prone to breaking, so I think it's a good idea to keep some spares on hand.

I'm so glad I found it. Her broken one kept breaking and she had to tape it back The outside electrical boxes on her house are permanently cemented in and cannot be removed, so these are a perfect fit and a quick install.
