For the space to fit everything, I had to use shorter lead lengths than normal. The problem does not occur on other boxes.
There appears to be a mismatched pair of screw holes If you really need a box, spend a little bit more and get something different.
This makes the finished work appear less tidy since they are visible. The screws would have been better through the back of that box (yeah, I could have drilled some The weatherproofing implications of that concern me, but as I understand it, you will need to do a lot of silicone sealing anyway, so what are a few screws worth?.
Although these are decent quality boxes, they are not deep enough to accommodate a GFI outlet if you bring your wire into the box from the back. Only 1/8" of space is left between the rear inlet hub and the back of the GFI outlet. During my first attempt, I pinched the wire. I had to grind down the rear hub to ensure it was not crossing the wire.
There was no thick metal box with holes I needed to install a waterproof exterior switch in any of the hardware stores I looked at. In this box, I found everything I wanted. Strong and waterproof, it has a solid design. For every cover that is made, it has mounting holes. I would definitely buy more of these products in the future because of the dealer's prompt delivery.
Metal box seems to be in good condition, and the paint looks to be well applied. Be sure to note the depth of this one, which is 2". As it is so cheap, I am going to keep this one since I will be using it for another project soon.
