A 3/16-inch screw will suffice. You can have any length you want. I used a 3/16" x 1 1/2" long Concrete Screw Anchor.
Because most outdoor extension cords have a diameter of about a quarter inch, we recommend going with a smaller size unless you're running protective tubing for the cord, in which case 1/2 inch would be appropriate.

Product of high quality.
Thick, great product!.
This is an excellent deal if you use a lot of these clamps. For less than the cost of five clamps at my local hardware store, I get 20 clamps delivered.
These would have been ideal for securing a propane gas line beneath my deck if they had been a little smaller. Even so, near-perfection isn't a bad thing. It was a pain in the neck to track them down. They might be available at a commercial supply store, but the big box stores were useless.
For my projects, this was exactly what I needed.
As was to be expected.
