Basically, I replaced my wax motor with it In my Frigidaire washer (LTF2140FS0), I have 63). In fact, this device saved me a bundle of cash. We were disgusted by the water left by our front-loading Frigidaire washer. We had a different problem where the drain wasn't working properly, so the clothes came out all wet and sudsy. There were no problems this time. The trap, which is hard to access, was clear and a lot of water was pumped In this case, it turned back and forth a couple of times after successfully draining, then just stopped. As I researched online, I found what the magic knob and button combination is for entering the diagnostic mode. The knob had to be turned to Drain/Spin cycle, I had to cancel to turn off the LEDs, I had to hold Cancel and Option buttons for 5 seconds until all the LEDs were lit, and then Release both buttons. In order to put it in final spin mode, I turned the knob eight times from Drain/Spin. I simply unplugged the washer for a few seconds to get out of diagnostic mode. A 47 error code flashed while it was forced to do a final spin. I was able to determine the problem might be caused by the wax motor in the door latch assembly after further online searching. When I removed the washer from the plug, I used needle-nose pliers to crook it The spring loaded ring was pulled off the rubber boot with nail-nose pliers, and the rubber boot was ejected. The door lock assembly was detached by unscrewing two Phillips head screws. Electrical connectors were attached to three molded flanges that could be easily detached. My next step was to carefully release some plastic clips in order to open the assembly. Normally, it is very important not to knock out any spring-loaded pieces, but let's say you do (as I did), make sure to replace them so everything moves smoothly. The following numbers can be found on the part I was looking for. This assembly requires The following wax motor model number is 1317632* Inverse Number 11176 I found it fairly easy to locate. Electrolux seems to use them in a lot of Frigidaire and Kenmore washer models, probably other brands as well. You might want to spend the extra money to purchase the whole assembly if you are not mechanically inclined. However, I assume you intend to open it up to save some money based on the fact that you are reading this.
I wasn't able to find a wax motor with that Although this is a Maytag wax motor, I was still confident to give this a try after hearing another reviewer's praise. In addition, it fit perfectly, and the molded electrical connector even fitted snugly onto the connectors just as the old one did. I've been spinning the disk nicely, without error codes, since the whole assembly was completed. The results so far are promising.
It is likely that the door locking motor of your Maytag Neptune washing machine will eventually fail, destroying a resistor and transistor on the control board. That leads to the door not locking correctly and the machine not spinning properly, leaving you with wet clothes. The washer only needs to be pulled out of position to gain access to all components. There's no resistor or transistor included with the kit, but you can easily find them on Amazon. If you need these, you'll likely need to purchase them separately as well. It takes about 10 minutes to replace the component within the motor kit, and it does not require more sophisticated tools than those commonly found in the household. I repaired the circuitry on the new motor, and it works perfectly afterward.
A new spacer will be needed if it is worn out. The MLE2000AYW (Neptune Stacker) Washer would not engage the high-speed spin cycle. I added a small spacer to allow the "black tip" Wax Motor to reach the Spin switch. Everything looks good except for the new "black tip" Wax Motor (which I thought it would be fine). We had only been using that motor for a few cycles when it died (it died in a locked position and we had to use the door lock bypass). Ordered this motor and it works like a charm (without My problem does not seem to be frequently discussed, based on research. Videos showing repairs of units with DIY spacers were available on the web. However, the focus was on the non-black tipped wax motors and how they would burn out control board components if they failed. (If this is you, you should replace it as soon as possible. )
I found the video most helpful for my first repair (when I added spacer) because it It appears that this is meant to avoid burning out a circuit board as opposed to simply wearing out and dying. Had I planned ahead and ordered earlier, I would have saved time and money. Here is a link to a good wax motor for anyone who needs it. As long as the retaining clip is holding the Motor firmly in place after it has warmed up, the Motor will not extend all the way to the spin switch. The one you have should be replaced.
There are a few Utube videos out there to help as well, but most do not provide the whole picture. As much time as it took to replace the part was needed to watch the video. I'm with confidence! Once you copy and paste this into Google, it should come up as the first video (Amazon wasn't happy with Having problems with your front load washer with a fridge or Electrolux brand By Bill Newburry on Door Lock Assembly.
In the "better" Kenmore models, you can press the start and pause buttons for 5 seconds at the same time. After that happens, it will give you an E and two digits. Hence, this is likely the part you will need if you gain access to E47 (like I did). I recommend getting a new spring held clamp for the "boot" that you must partially move out of the way to replace this part. My washer was 7 years old and the spring on my clamp was so corroded that it just stretched out when pulled rather than reshaping. It's a pity I couldn't find the clamp on Amazon since it cost more than this part. In addition, the motor is also for almost 5 times as much in the door switch wiring harness. Purchase a wax motor, save the money, and you'll save yourself a lot of stress. If the motor is defective, it can easily be replaced by opening the wiring harness (using a flat blade screwdriver), and pulling out the motor, replacing it with a In addition, if you are getting your washer tub in the bottom of the unit, open the panel below the door and check the shocks that anchor it. I needed a new shock for my right side, and this same company had that However, I was able to bring my washer back to its former glory for less than $50 (clamp, wax motor, and shocks). As a result, I was very happy. I received my parts on the Saturday before! I was told they would arrive between Monday and Wednesday, but I was able to get them on.
