You should be able to use it with no problem if its dimensions and power rating match One is installed on my metal lathe and I have had no issues with it.

Are you aware of a warranty for the motor?

It is true that Marathon has a one-year warranty.

What is the electrical reversibility of this motor?

There will have to be an exchange between the white and the red wires (numbers 5 and 8).

It is a well made product. A smooth bearing is an assurance of long service life. Building it is a good idea. Look back at me in 30 years and let me know how the electrical side has performed.
