Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use the Gecko 540 with these motors? Would you be so kind as to thank me?

You should use 3 instead of G540 if you use that device. motors can be found on our website*br>automationtechnologiesinc or you can call me at 847-984-0884

Can you tell me when I can expect to receive this?

The motor on this vehicle has two specifications. There is a 5 amp per phase feature on the product. As stated in the product description, the product has three features. The current per phase is 5 amps. Whether it's 5 or 3 amps, we can then understand this. Can a 5 amp charger handle it?

It is 5 amps for the 570 oz/in product

On the other side of the shaft, is there a tapped hole for mounting an encoder?

It does not have an additional hole for an

Torchmate Growth series tables have a new stepper motor and upgrades but it's the same price! For anyone looking is a fantastic Replacement stepper motor for the stepper motors on the Torchmate 2 x 4 CNC plasma table, the connectors can be made to match the factory Torchmate ones by ordering the following parts, they are Molex 39-pin connectors
5/5

There are Molex39-pin connectors on the 2060 and the connector pins are 2060 Model number of my first stepper motors was These stepper motors were actually supplied to torchmate by Flashcut CNC. They can be found at their website by going to google. And their controller was also supplied by Flashcut CNC. A similar product, the Torchmate 5 Amp Micro Stepping Compact CNC Controller, is available from Flashcut CNC as well, but it is rebranded with a Torchmate logo and an enclosure in red and black. The owner's manual can be downloaded from this site At the factory, these controllers were set to output only one signal. With a maximum power output of 2 amps per stepper motor, the output can be increased to 6 amps. You can increase the current output by 5 amps by removing the cover on the controller and turning the potentiometer labeled R206 on each of the three driver cards. If the motor appears to be underperforming or overheating, the current output should be increased. As a result of this adjustment, the torque of the stepper motors will increase increasing the capability of the gantry to operate without being bound or stalled. With a micro phillips screwdriver, you can adjust the output current of the drive by rotating the potentiometer counterclockwise. Rotate the potentiometer clockwise to decrease the output current. This may seem counterintuitive since it increases output in an opposite manner. The first time I made the adjustment I turned mine the wrong way and I could not rotate it until I corrected this mistake and turned it counter clockwise, which gave them significantly more torque than the original stepper motor ratings which were only 454 oz in comparison to these upgrades. Wiring my stepper motors according to Molex connectors, my factory stepper motors were manufactured between April and July of this year The wires are of the 8-wire configuration and were installed in 2011. My factory stepper motor has lead wires in yellow, black, green, purple, white, brown, red, and blue. A later model machine or stepper motor may have different lead wire colors. Unlike the original motor, this replacement stepper motor has only four wires red, blue, green, and black. A 4 wire stepper motor essentially consists of 8 wires, because the original 8 wire stepper motor wires were coupled together in pairs. In order to ensure the motor is wired properly, you should test its power leads by using a multi-meter, confirming continuity exists between the green and black, and also between the blue and red wires. These are the pairs that feed the two magnets inside the The wiring on the new motor is the same as the wiring on the factory connector. The green wire will go into the same spot on the molex connector as the black and yellow. The Green and Black wires are directly below the Black and Yellow wires. The new motor's black wire will be connected to this pin. Make sure the Green and Black wires are connected to ground. Furthermore, the blue and red wires should be connected in a continuous manner. If your new Molex connectors are wired and ready to go, you should be able to plug them straight into the factory wiring unless Torchmate changed the connectors for I looked at Torchmate pricing recently and they wanted $299 a piece for replacement stepper motors. Flashcutt CNC won't work with you if you describe your Torchmate or provide their serial number from your driver, which links it back to the hardware manufacture. In the time since my purchase, these upgraded stepper motors had been on sale for about $45 a piece, with free shipping. The following information was provided by the seller 2RS (3/8" x 7/8" x 9/32") Metal Rubber Sealed Ball Bearing) I hope that it keeps someone's Torchmate running smoothly and saves a bit of money.

This motor was purchased to replace a 425 oz in motor that was faulty
5/5

The purpose of the purchase was to replace a 425 oz in motor that was running a heavy gantry at its upper limit. To determine if I needed more motor, I had to complete a simple test. To test this, jog the CNC machine and slowly apply body pressure by leaning on the machine. If the motor stalls (spins internally without movement), then the motor needs to be replaced. There is no difference for small systems, only for those that are pushing heavy loads. Approximately 100 lb. of weight is carried by the gantry. I replaced the 425 oz in stepper motor with the one I purchased. As with the other motor, this one passed the tests without issue, also. It is important that the inertia of large CNC machines is sufficient to move a typical person out of the way when it is leaning against it. During deep cuts, if it is not stalled, the motor is operating at its maximum potential. While this method is non-electric, it tends to give better results. The point is made regardless of how complicated or scientific it is.

Overall, though, it is a good value
4/5

An engine had binding issues on both the stator and the rotor. It is powerful, but it is loud (probably the driver). However, overall it is great value.

This is a really good CNC stepper, but make sure you have a proper This device is excellent, though you may need more than a 12V power supply, and there is not a whole lot of documentation It goes without saying that most stepper motors are )*br>Do a Google search on the model and voltage recommendations, which you will probably find to With a wink and wink, please

link to this, but giving advice is touchy in litigation USA, so do a quick search)
Watch your part numbers, as just a slight difference at the end can mean that you are getting 1/4" or 3/8" shafts with.
