My Technics cassette tape deck uses it as a DC motor voltage regulator with no problem. An easily identifiable board that is screwed to Connectors for wiring at the down connections. With the other controls and the potentiometer installed in the front of the cassette deck, I think it looks pretty natural. The sound design has been greatly enhanced by this.
