I have a very good control over the fan speed thanks to this. In reality, I simply have it set to a low fan speed and have the PWM just thrown in with the 3D printer's electronics (I made sure not to short it) and have not altered the exterior case so I can give it a hand on the go. We can discuss it at a later date.

Exactly what I was looking for. The Samsung LCD TV we have was overheating and turning itself off and on all the time. We took it to the repair shop and it was fixed with three 12V fans installed. There was only one problem it was too loud with the fans. I bought this and installed it between my TV and ac/dc converter box. It works fine. Now, I am able to reduce the fanspeed to a level that I can tolerate.
